The poll found that 54 percent of Americans believe that leaders of other major European countries should be involved in negotiations to end the conflict. The survey also asked who Americans would blame for a failure of peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. The results show that 42 percent would blame Russian President Vladimir Putin, while only one in ten would blame President Volodymyr Zelensky. An additional 11 percent would blame President Donald Trump, and 17 percent would blame all of the leaders equally. The poll also shows strong opposition to Russia receiving Ukrainian territory at the end of the war. When asked how much of Ukraine’s territory they want Russia to have, 68 percent of Americans said “none of it.” The poll also found that 66 percent of Americans sympathize more with Ukraine over Russia. 32percent of Americans favor increasing military aid, and 21 percent favor maintaining the current amount. In contrast, 11percent favor decreasing aid, and 15 percent favor stopping all military aid to Ukraine.

The poll also revealed stark differences in public opinion on the leaders of the two warring nations. When asked about their favorability toward Zelensky, 46 percent of Americans expressed a favorable opinion (18 percent very favorable, 28 percent somewhat favorable), while one quarter of them held an unfavorable view (11 percent somewhat unfavorable, 14 percent very unfavorable). In contrast, a significant majority of Americans, 82 percent, hold an unfavorable opinion of Putin (17 percent somewhat unfavorable, 65 percent very unfavorable). Only 8 percent have a favorable view. Similarly, 72 percent disapprove of Putin’s leadership abilities, with fewer than a tenth of them approving.

Donald Trump's meeting with Putin the War Criminal on US soil was an embarassment. Trump has not sent any offensive weapons to Ukraine since early July (and those were what remained of a Ukraine weapons tranche from President Biden)

Last night, the Russians sent almost 600 missiles/drones into Ukrainian cities. Putin can do this because Trump has not imposed any "severe consequences" on Russia as he promised to do if Putin did not agree to an immediate cease-fire.

Once again, Donald Trump TACO'd ("Trump Always Chickens Out")

At this point the only group who still stand with trump are his supporters. How much longer that will last as prices continue to climb, anyone's guess.

It's pretty clear from comments out of Russia yesterday that they have no intention of pursuing bilateral or trilateral talks nor agree to security arrangements. Will Trump act?

Yes they demand "Demand Broader European Involvement " because they have zero clue what their involvement has been.

It seems not.

People need to face reality. Not keeping the territory they have captured is a non-starter for Russia and Zelensky is incapable of reclaiming it by force. It’s not going to be given back to Ukraine. Spinning your wheels over it won’t change anything. You either want peace - which requires recognizing the captured territory for what it is now (Russian) - or you want Russia to continue expanding its conquest.

I am trying to rap my head around anyone in the USA posting something like that and being proud of themselves. Wasn't too long ago Americans had real Presidents like Reagan who stood up to Russia and had the backing of his base. NOW the base has sold out to Trump. Comments like yours prove without a doubt that if Trump says something, promotes something, it is gospel. Even if it flies in the face of American values, conservative values, and even common decency. Reagan would NEVER have bowed down to Putin. You know it and I know it.

Your constant support of ANYTHING Trump is indicative of a cult like mentality. It's pathetic. I would be ashamed if I were an American to post anything like what you posted.

But I know already your rebuttals, I have long be aware of what comes next, it will be petulant, whiny and childish. I doubt you will prove me wrong.

The U.S. must get involved and get the territory back. Giving in will cause peace, yes. Whatever happened to "Give Me Liberty or Give Me death" ???? Is peace so dear and life so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery??????

Reagan was a worse war criminal than Putin on multiple levels, aiding at least three separate genocidal campaigns in the name of “fighting Russia”, which renders that posturing worthless.

Reagan would be running guns to ISIS in hopes that they could somehow restart their already crushed insurgency in the Caucasus.

The U.S. sees slavery as a good thing, in case you hadn’t noticed.

A poll on this is entirely irrelevant, even if those that lean conservative disagree we will still see Trump continue to placate Putin and strong-arm Zelenskyy to the detriment of Ukraine.

He didnt mention Trump in his comment, yet Trump is all you responded with.

Thats exactly right. Ukraine lacks the forces to retake land taken by Russia and neither the US nor Europe will send in the troops to make it happen. So the only way to end this war is some sort of land for peace deal. Short of that, Putin seems perfectly willing to let this war grind on indefinitely.

Yeah yeah yeah, we are fully aware of your bias on here. No need to get into an endless back n forth like you do with some of your favorite targets since your posts are plain bonkers.

It’s an objective historical fact dude. Reagan was backing the Mayan genocide in Guatemala, Saddam’s campaign against the Kurds, and Indonesia’s genocide in East Timor, plus numerous other “lesser” mass murder campaigns across the globe.

Including arming Islamic extremists in Afghanistan in the name of “fighting Russia”.

Fortunately, if there is a peace agreement, it will be decided between Putin and Zelensky, not a yougov opinion poll.
