Against potential GOP contenders, Whitmer also fares well.

You may recall that this is the governor that a far-right militia plotted to kidnap. That failed, and the thugs who tried have been prosecuted in federal court.

It wasn't just a kidnapping. They wanted to overthrow the State government.

I have a feeling that's going to change.....

If I was not so pissed off at the Democratic Party that I'm going to vote for Republicans in every single election for the rest of my life, I'd probably vote to reelect Whitmer. I have no complaints about her performance as governor.

Well, I guess I wish she hadn't been duped by the right on auto insurance reform. But I don't hold that against her.

Allegedly. They claim that they were entrapped by the feds.

I'm not following the case well enough to form my own opinions, but I am not going to accept someone's guilt just because the government says they are guilty. I've seen too many accused turn out to be innocent for that.

Hopefully they will get a fair trial and the truth (whatever it is) will come out in court.
