In May, the Secret Service investigated Donald Trump’s butler over a Facebook post saying that President Barack Obama “should be shot as an enemy agent.”
Secret Service agents also interviewed a Trump campaign adviser last month, after he said that Hillary Clinton “should be put in the firing line and shot for treason.”
In December, Trump himself appeared on the radio show of the conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, who has warned that the federal government might round up gun owners “like Jews in Nazi Germany.”
And refrains of “hang the bitch” and “kill the bitch” have grown increasingly common at Trump rallies.
Even before Trump’s Tuesday remark that “Second Amendment people” might stop Hillary Clinton’s Supreme Court appointments, his associates and supporters had repeatedly called for violence against Clinton and Obama, while right-wing leaders and militia groups that support Trump speak of an armed response to federal gun control efforts.
Does this mean that we have nearly three more months of "Trump's an Asshole" threads to go here at DP? Geeze. What if he wins? Could happen.
Trump is an asshole, but he isn't the only asshole to use such rhetoric in a campaign for President:
Nor did he use the actual word "assassination" like another asshole did:
But, that doesn't lessen the fact that like Biden and Hillary, Trump is an asshole.
Beaudreaux, it is not just trump whose violent rhetoric toward his opponent is viewed as worrying...
It is the people at his rallies who repeatedly shout "hang her" when Hillary' name is mentioned...
It is the surrogates of the Trump campaign who also engage in this violent rhetoric.
There has been a pattern of trump or his campagin engaging in incinderary rhetoric.

An article from Politico posted today
Trump's long dalliance with violent rhetoric - POLITICO
Thoughts?
Well, then the threads will be "The President's an Asshole". Not very different from the last several years, at least, on the site I was at before coming here....
Agreed. However, we had the same types of things being yelled about GW Bush for years, with him even being hung in effigy as well as burned at the stake at times, and is even still though he's not the POTUS anymore.
The hatred toward "the others" by "the others" is always bad, as it also is when it's "the others" that are attacking "the others," but it's not any worse than it's been in the past. The side where it originates, or the side that it's targeted toward, makes no difference as to the level of right versus wrong. That's two of the reasons I posted those videos - to show it isn't new, and that it isn't any worse than it's been on the past.
As for the "lock her up" chant, I don't have a problem with that one, since that chant could accurately be used against the majority of politicians.
Obama is still walking around.
Obama is still walking around.
When you dehumanize and demonize someone, it emboldens the individuals who are willing to use extreme measures to defeat what they detest.
When Isreali prime minister Yitzhak Rabin signed the Oslo peace accords, his political rivals denounced him for what they saw as a betrayal of Isreal and Rabin was denounced by some as a enemy of Isreal.
This demonization fueled Yigal Amir motivation to assassinate prime minister Rabin in 1995.
Its only going to get worse as long as liberals continue to demonize the people that made this country great, tying to guilt them into handing over our wealth rights and freedom to the unwashed masses of miorities around the globe that have contributed nothing but misery. All of this is done under the guise of equal opportunity, but we all know there will never be such a thing unles we are all reduced to the lowerswt comon denominator. It is really equal outcome they seek because that they can dole out like prividges from the benevolent global Nanny State. Of course however, as Hillary proves over and over, the there will be one set of rules and equal outcome for the facist leaders and another for the fools that believe in the promise of liberal socialism. There will be bloodshed, its only a matter of time. They know this, that's the real reason they are trying to erode and eventually eliminate the 2nd Amendment, among others.
Says the guy who has minority blood in his veins (as we all do).
I guess your comment above answers the question as to whether you've got racist leanings. And btw, we whites ARE a minority "around the globe"...and if we continue to hold our most highly-educated people in contempt (as our Right seems to love to do), we're going to get technologically passed-up by China.
So the most highly educated people are the minorites huh? Then why are all the minority countries festering **** holes?
Time for y'all to start valuing higher education...and for y'all to start listening to those who have a heck of a lot more education than the rest of us.
