But N95s can save us in the midterm, and they're just so simple. And they don't rely on anything internal and are not related to any manipulation or plots. I had far more anger over xrays at airports than I do over N masks. I won't fly because of it. Thanks!!

Well, Vermont has a small population, in fact, it's been losing population. I believe it's 49th out of 50 on the low end of the states. Most of the population is rural which is significant. What interested me is was the rapid rise in covid after vaccinations because it's Bernie's state. And Vermonters love Bernie and Bernie is enthusiastically pro vax. Don't get me wrong, I like Bernie, too. i like the fact that he's got a good mind and is independent, so it puzzled me as to why Vermont would see such an uptick. My guess was that people who were getting vaccinations were no longer taking precautions like masks and social distancing, and it also suggested a serious flaw in vaccination efficacy. I could have used other states but thought Vermont interesting because I do consider it somewhat independent in the best of New England tradition. Now some people want this issue to be partisan, but I don't. Globally, we have a serious problem, and trying to diminish it with partisan rancor isn't going to solve it. Thanks!!

The Reuters link you gave shows that pretty much all US states had a recent increase in case rate but that Vermont's increase and overall rates remain in the bottom half of the list. For well over a year and a half, the deaths from Covid were primarily of the elderly and of those who were younger, primarily those with existing conditions. This is proven mathematically. Now that some NEW strain comes along, (which is possibly BECAUSE of people being vaccinated), you use the fear factor by claiming that now more young people are dying. I am no longer young so your claim that I stand a chance of dying because of not being vaccinated is patently false. When taking into account Vermont’s population relative to the other states — that is, according to the publicly available data, how many people are getting Covid-19 per 100,000 people — Vermont is one of the top top 5 states in the U.S. in terms of having the lowest rates of Covid-19.

Vermont is an unequivocal success story.

When I tried to show Logophile the graphs he alluded to the data being falsified, but failed to rebut the main point about Vermont having an extremely low number of cases as compared to its population relative to other states.

And in his response to you he still demonstrates his failure to grasp the importance of using an analysis that takes into account the differing populations of the states.
