People are flying around in these jumbo personal drones in China [VIDEO] / Boing Boing
Just two types of personal drones being built right now. Presently very expensive, but when it costs drug lords several million dollars to build a tunnel, I think a drone that could carry one pilot and two hundred pounds of drugs over the border fence with very little sound and can fly low enough to be almost invisible would be something the drugs lords would be more than happy to pay a price for. And when prices come down, even the coyotes could use them to ferry people across any fence built along the border anywhere they wanted to. Hopping back and forth with a drone, you could put thirty or forty people across in just minutes. Technology like this will soon make any kind of fencing out of date or as some are saying medieval.

We will just make it a no fly zone and that will be that!

How is a wall gonna enforce a no fly zone?

Oh, and just a heads up.....I'm setting you up....I'm pretty sure what your response is gonna be, and its gonna make my point for me....lol

I think the way drug cartels do it now would probably make more economic sense. They couldn't care less if their drivers are arrested. They are easily replaceable, and MUCH cheaper than such a drone would be.

That said, I could see terrorists using them.

I have been saying this all along, drone technology is growing faster than a fence can be built.

Hell a fence/wall as obsolete as it is now it will be useless by the time the EO works through the courts.

Like I say all the time, walls at one time made good barriers, then along came air travel...

Hell an ultra lite landed on the Whitehouse lawn...

Oh okay you pass a law, good plan...

Better to put in a few air stop lights to control the air traffic. I can see it now. A lightweight down skin on the drone and the pilot and passenger and Voila!, instant stealth. Invest in duck down and goose down before the rush.

From what I have read these drones cost about 350 grand. I do not know what 200 pounds of coke goes for on the street, but it would not take too many loads to pay for itself. And you would not lose nearly as much stuff as through the portals.
