Are critics letting their pure hatred of Trump blind them of covering him objectively and bluntly, assessing reality?

Now China’s propagandists are competing to create a narrative that obscures the origins of the crisis and that blames the United States for the virus. This irresponsible behavior and lack of transparency revealed what Trump’s National Security Strategy had identified early on: that “contrary to our hopes, China expanded its power at the expense of others.” Instead of becoming a “responsible stakeholder”—a term George W. Bush’s administration used to describe the role it hoped Beijing would play following China’s entry into the World Trade Organization in 2001—the Chinese Communist Party used the advantages of WTO membership to advance a political and economic system at odds with America’s free and open society. Previous National Security Strategy documents had tiptoed around China’s adversarial conduct, as if calling out that country as a competitor—as the 2017 document unequivocally did—was somehow impolite.

Consider the Possibility That Trump Is Right On China - The Atlantic

It amazes me, people are so blinded by Trump they are holding their nose and tentatively endorsing Joe Biden, a guy who cannot communicate properly and demonstrated an inability to control himself.

Have you ever actually listened to the president and his word salads with his stream of consciousness speaking?

So if a person disagrees with trump or doesn't care for trump's politics, they are trump haters who can't see things objectively? All hail the commander of the lemmings.

That (bolded above) applies to Trump reading a prepared daily briefing message. He simply cannot prevent himself from spewing random, yet generous, amounts of TrumpSpeak (disjointed sentence fragments on unrelated topics) throughout what should be a 20 minute event, stretching it to well over an hour.

While informing the public is important, that duty can and should be largely delegated to competent staff.

The irony in this statement is blinding.

The root cause is that Trump is an interloper who has no respect for the career politicians and their cronies who stood by and let the economy crash in 2008, and let multinational companies destroy American manufacturing starting in the ‘op’s. His care for the American working person, has stolen the last remaining fig leaf the Democrat’s covered their desire for socialism with.

Now they are forced to reveal themselves as the empty pockets party they are, complete with a dottering demented figurehead who they see as an empty vessel to implement their programs all the while having no clue as to what is going on around him.

Democrats are kidding no one.

And for those criticising his meandering speaking style, it because you have been exposed to poll tested, word and phrase weighted canned comments for too long. Trump speaks, not reads.

Just like critics' pure hatred of Obama blinded them.

He reads his statements as though he's reading them for the first time.

The two things don't have to be mutually exclusive.

Yes, China is responsible for the virus coming into being, very much so and after this is over, I think the world needs to turn on them, heavily for what they have done.

But at the same time, our governments failed us and I don't just mean Donald Trump, but in terms of his utter buffoonery and acting in his usual stupid way, no one handled it worse, no one dropped the ball worse and dismissed it as just another democratic hoax and openly lied that they had it under control, that it would go down to zero and that "we won early".

And that's before we get into the other million and one things that he's done such as openly, red handed cheating in an election only for his cartoon cavalcade of the dumbest political supporters to ever exist in modern history collectively shrugged and have given him a pass to commit pretty much whatever crimes he likes it office with absolutely no possibility of ever be held accountable.

And that's before we get into the other billion and one things he's done that show he is one of the most incompetent morons to ever be elected President, that he's used completely unsubtle racism and dark populism to tap into the dark underbelly of white christian Conservatism that has become a hallmark of regressive and anti-science thinking that is holding back good education for children, good healthcare public policy, freedoms for minorities and exploding economic injustice and inequality for the benefit of a very few wealthy individuals and companies.

He's everything wrong with modern capitalism and modern American Conservative Thinking, he just laid it bare for all to see and I totally reject him and those who support him and his response to Covid-19 is just one of many misteps that would lead any rational thinking human being to reject him as well and that is why you are labelled a cultist, because it's what you are.

**** Donald Trump.

Holding their noses? How many held their noses while they voted to keep a SCOTUS nomination out of Hillary Clinton's hands? How many Christians will say they can't hold their noses tight enough to vote for someone who was involved with a porn star while his wife was home with their new baby?

It amazes me, people were so blinded by Obama they were holding their nose and tentatively endorsing Mitt Romney, a candidate far better than Donald J. Trump.

Is it better to be blinded by hatred or blinded by loyalty. As far I can tell neither Trump's supporters nor his denigrators are objectively assessing his performance.

Just like critics' pure hatred of Obama blinded them.

Obama seemed to me to be afraid to release the engine of capitalism, even though he knew “a rising tide lifts all boats”. But he also knew he would never see another invite to a cocktail party at Martha’s Vineyard again! He craved acceptance by a culture he knew was corrupt, and abandoned those who needed his help the most - the poor.

Ask trump if he knows why we have Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday without looking at SStephen Miller’s script.

I think through the years many here have let the legend of a flawed man grow beyond his deeds.

As far as CV goes, you have nothing to compare it to beyond bar talk. We get one bad one every 40 years or so. Maybe you will be around to give much needed advice.

I have survived polio, the Asian flu, Hong Kong flu, Swine flu, Bird flu, and probably a few others in between our Kung Flu.

Trump doesn't speak, well , not in coherent sentences anyway. He spews words from his face in no meaningful fashion. So when his words are posted the next day, he can say they were taken out of context. Because there was no context. It was just drivel meant for his base.

That is nonsense, but go with it.

"A rising tide lifts all boats" --- an old saying brought to fore by Reagan in support of his giving huge tax breaks to the rich ( which other repubs have followed including Trump.

The problem is, not everyone has a frickin' boat.

Hatred has absolutely nothing to do with how Americans view Trump. It has everything to do with Trump's incompetence. Have you been listening to his remarks on the Covid-19 press conferences? His lack of leadership, intelligence, and competence is fully on display.

.

Seriously?
How is this criticism any different than the continuous criticism over the last four years.
