I am talking about people that have made some kind of commitment to you but clearly have changed their mind. I do not mean ghosting a suitor. I mean people who have entered into verbal agreements.

I will never understand such cowardly people. How were they brought up?

Some people just live in the moment. They don't plan they just react. You have to just keep calling, texting or bugging them. More trouble for you but they see nothing wrong with it.

I don't understand people like that either. I've sold things on Facebook Marketplace before. Set up a meeting time and place and then .... ghosted. Why? Just say you changed your mind or can't meet. Why just say nothing?

They say nothing because they're rude and disrespectful of others, the same people who leave used diapers in parking lots and don't flush public toilets. They flunk the character test, don't they?

Not returning e-mails or texts in a "timely" way is infuriating when a work situation or social plans are in play. I'm very frustrated with my sister right now because she regards 4-5 days or ever "timely" for a text and I don't have the guts to tell her how much this hurts my feelings.

But being ghosted is like being stood up, and there had better be a mighty good explanation later for this not to be a "one and done" for me.
