Why are people always freaking out? They do not know their history.
I am looking at it from a historical perspective.
From 1620 - 1860 things were great for white people.
Native Americans? ****ed.
Black people? ****ed.
Chinese? ****ed.
Irish, Germans, Italians, Etc.? Not ****ed but close to it.
Then we have:
Civil War
Reconstruction
KKK
Jim Crow
Plessy v Ferguson
KKK Again
Tulsa Race Massacre
Rosewood Race Massacre
More Race Massacres, lynching's, police abuse is rampant...
The Great Depression
WWII
Civil Rights: MLK, Malcom X, Bobby and the President assassinated.
Cold War Nuclear scare.
Other shit but then Terrorism from Oklahoma to Waco to 911.
In all that we have Rights exploding for women, black people, LGBTQ, etc. Police reform. No war. Etc.
Life is actually really ****ing good... probably the best that it has ever been for normal average people in the history of the world.
But all I see are people ****ing freaking out day in and day out. People need to educate themselves and add a dash of PERSPECTIVE.
