People Identify as Dogs

I identify Trump, and other sexual molesters as a dirty dogs, so I sort of understand what they are doing. (Maybe not  )

What are your thoughts?
I am not sure how much better or worse it is, but that headline and article are not accurate. The people in that area did not identify as dogs. This was part of a fetish festival and that group were people who practice "pup play."

Just as long as there is no dry humping going on..🤷‍♂️

I think this thread is a good example of how misinformation spreads. OP posted a reasonable looking news source claiming something happened. Nine separate people have then commented on the thread as if it were true, 5 of them after an article was posted contesting the veracity of the original article. Now there is at least that many people who believe that this event actually happened, with potentially more who just viewed the thread and did not post. And that is just from one person sharing an inaccurate article.

I went looking to see if this was actually true because the people were dressed more like those who have a fetish than who legitimately believe they were dogs, but if that did not ping in my brain as fishy, I would have likely believed the headline and article as well. Makes me wonder how many things I do believe like that, where I saw a reasonable looking headline or article, but did not have immediate doubt and so just accepted the information.

What are your thoughts?
Yep. And have you heard about the ones who think they are cats and furries?

We had a thread on it

Yep. ANd have you heard about the ones think they are cats and furries

We had a thread on it

Neither this thread nor that thread were accurate. See post #6 of this thread and the lack of any first hand reports of furries in schools in the other one.

But in the end they are taking on the persona of a Dog. The OP states they opt to be acknowledged as canines.

Disturbing nonetheless.

You also seem to have cared a lot more than those of us who just chose to find amusement.

The OP is not accurate. It was a fetish parade, but it was not people who identify as dogs.

There's nothing wrong with just wanting to find amusement, but on a mass scale, this is exactly how false information enters the public consciousness as true.

Nobody here making jokes is "spreading it."

We should have a thread on guys "identifying" as Santas every year.
Or, how about the ones dressing up as cowboy without ever been near a horse?
More?
Our resident doctors, psychiatrists and lawyers who know just about everything about anything.
This seems to be nothing more than cosplay.

If you accepted it as true, it does not really matter whether you are spreading it or not. There are people spreading it, like the original poster, who probably had good reason to believe it was true given that it came from an official looking news source. The more that happens, and the more people accept it as true, the more it becomes widely known that there was a big group of people in Berlin who identified as dogs.
