People can't afford eggs. Also, NBC is reporting a record breaking online Black Friday.

Hmmm......I just checked online, a dozen large eggs is 2.16 at Walmart. Yet I heard a magat say the other day they were 6.00 a dozen. I guess these same liars don't shop for the eggs they claim are too expensive to buy. Imagine that!

We're considering getting our kids TVs so.they can play video games in their rooms.

However, eggs are out of the question.
Well with a TV they can watch all sorts of shows about eggs, and then you can explain to them how Donnie "The Egg-man" Trump is going to bring their price down.
:)

I just got back from Russia and brought some eggs back since they're a steal at $1.16. Flew first class too, because why not?
You brought eggs back from Russia? Wow, you go! I'm pretty sure I wouldn't bring anything edible back from Russia right about now, much less eggs. I'm seriously impressed.in a weird sort of way...

I'll bookmark this one and bring it back a month or two after Trump's massive tariffs. I'm also going to do some screenshots of my current grocery prices for comparison.

Class.... take a seat.

December 2019 what cost $100, now cost $124.36 (on average)
That is a 24% increase in what you would have to spend to buy the same items in Christmas 2019.
So class - if the spending increase in 2024 is less that 24% more than 2019 - spending is actually down.

Class dismissed.

Here ya go...

Black Friday spending soars near $11 billion online, shattering a record

As a conservative poster predicted a day or two ago, Black Friday would break records, thanks in large part to a renewed sense of optimism after Trump's victory on election night.

Panic buying because the prices will be tripled next year.

What’s the optimism to dollar exchange rate? American Airlines wouldn’t let me pay for next summer’s vacation flights with optimism.

The optimism is based on the fact that coherent adults are taking charge of government in late January. Did you see Dopey Joe Biden wander into the Amazon rain forest at the G20 summit a couple weeks ago? Where were his handlers? He may have needded a nappie change.

I hope you're not a teacher because your students would know less after you were done with them.

Wonder how many just ran up more personal debt?
For those who carry over a credit card balance you most likely lost any savings in the price of the item by the high interest rate you are paying.

Credit card debt and defaults are at historical highs.
2024 total consumer CC debt is $1.166 TRILLION - the highest in recorded history.
A 51% increase over 2020.

But... there is nothing wrong wit the economy.

Auto loans defaults at a 15 year high....... but nothing is wrong with the economy. Wall Street is gangbusters don't you know???
