Pentagon has quietly barred Ukrainian long-range strikes in Russia with US missiles, WSJ reports

I see you don't want to answer the question I've asked you in Post #s 21 and 23:

Do you support trump's reversal of Biden's policy? Is so, why?

You don't deserve answer because you don't answer questions asked of you.

You don't deserve answer because you don't answer questions asked of you.
So, you don't want to answer the question about whether you support trump's reversal of Biden's policy re allowing Ukraine to use long-range missiles to attack the invader.

I can understand your reluctance. I agree, we shouldn't be helping putin to attack, occupy, and destroy Ukraine. That helping him to kill Ukrainians and to kidnap Ukrainian children is reprehensible.

"The U.S. has quietly implemented a review process giving Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth authority to bar Ukrainian long-range strikes inside Russia with American missiles, effectively blocking strikes for months, the Wall Street Journal reported on Aug. 23. The unannounced high-level Defense Department approval process has prevented the use of Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) against targets inside Russia since the late spring, an unnamed official said.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Aug. 21 said that Ukraine had "no chance of winning" if not permitted to attack Russia and criticized former U.S. President Joe Biden for not letting Kyiv "fight back, only defend.""

Oh.
So are you upset because Trump may not be allowing Ukraine to attack Russia, or or you upset because Biden didn't allow Ukraine to attack Russia?

What's happening is that Trump, Hegseth and Putin are reversing Biden and his SecDef Lloyd Austin. This is what's going down right now.

This is right after Trump laid out the red carpet for His Guy Putin in Alaska. The principals at this time are Trump, Hegseth, Putin, MAGA.

Unannounced as yet btw is that Putin sold Trump a ton of ice during their meeting along with a field of snow to include an ambassador to be named later.

Putin and MAGAs go back a long ways together don't we know. It was Putin who delivered Trump to His MAGAs as of 2015. It's what's been obvious since and right up to the moment.

With losing 600 troops in one day Ukraine may not have enough troops left to fire them.

Just imagine the difference there might have been if Ukraine had these missiles back in 2022.

Oh but wait, that would have escalated the situation with Russia so they were denied until late last year.

The president has decided to withhold them to deescalate the situation, hoping to encourage Russia to bring an end to the war.

Oh my!

I'm happy they didn't.

I support Bidens decision to withold

Sounds like a reasonable olive branch.

Sounds like a reasonable olive branch.

Biden made the decision two weeks after his party lost the White House.

It should have been done earlier.

Very reasonable.

North Korea and China are also against Ukraine. Economically, so too is India.

So are you upset because Trump may not be allowing Ukraine to attack Russia, or or you upset because Biden didn't allow Ukraine to attack Russia?
Yes.

Ukraine was denied the use of these missiles since the beginning of war - (over 2 1/2 years) and it seems the reasoning behind that decision was widely understood at the time.

Yeah, and Trump criticized this, but now he's doing the same thing while telling Ukraine they should go on the offensive.

Oh.

That piece of shit Haggis, no doubt under Trump's orders.

Meanwhile, 3 times (at least) the Russian military has launched a massive barrage of missiles & drones at civilian areas causing dozens of deaths following "talks of peace" between Putzin and Trump.

Shit for brains. Absolute shit for brains.

Time for Congress to be given firing power over Cabinet members. 2/3s "yes" votes from both Houses & BOOM...a member of the President's Cabinet can be shitcanned & sent to wastebin of American political history.

This war needs to end.
As soon as Russia is done invading Chechnya, Georgia, Ukraine, and Moldova, Russia plans to invade the EU Baltic states using nuclear weapons.

The longer we keep Russia bogged down in Ukraine, the longer we postpone nuclear war.

There should be security for Ukraine but that can come in the form of neutrality, which has worked for Austria and Switzerland.
That is not security. Neutrality is what Ukraine has now.

The problem all along is that it's the USA that hasn't wanted neutrality in Ukraine.
That is incorrect. The move to bring Ukraine into NATO only picked up steam after Russia invaded them.

But even if your comment had been true, NATO membership for Ukraine is not a problem.

None of this would have happened if the US didn't have designs on using Ukraine as an extension of its influence.
That is incorrect. The US was not doing any such thing.

Let's suppose it's the year 2035. Canada's really worried about its deranged neighbor to the south, *which increasingly talks of making Canada its 51st state and starts massing troops at the border as a periodic show of force. So let's say Canada and Russia (or China) sign a security agreement. **Do you really believe the US would just sit back and watch and let this unfold?
Of course we would. It wouldn't be any of our business.

That is what Russia is doing now. It's shoving the United States out of its realm of influence.
Ukraine is not within Russia's realm of influence. Russia's realm of influence ends at Russia's borders.

In 2008 it was announced that Georgia and Ukraine were going to become NATO members.
Nonsense. There has never been a serious attempt to bring either into NATO.

People only started taking Ukrainian NATO membership seriously after Russia invaded them.

There's Euromaidan.
Democracy in action.

There's the security agreement in 2021.
Which security agreement is that?

Horseshit. Ask the Belgians how neutrality worked out for them.

You want to end the war? Give one side or the other the means to win.

Personally, I'd prefer that was given to Ukraine.

Biden was just as stupid as Trump.

Putin only understands force. He escalates, you escalate more. You try being nice, he immediately drone swarms urban centers. Every single time we have escalated, he has shut up.

Oh, stop the bullshit. Both the US and Russia work to woo nations into their respective sphere's of influence. Russia is today actively working for influence on the African continent.

In 2013, Ukraine wanted out of Russia's "sphere" and into the West's sphere. Putin couldn't abide by that. Putin doesn't view Ukraine as a real country and Ukrainians as a real people.

That's what this war is all about. Puitin denying Ukraine's right as a sovereign nation to determine its own destiny and its right join Western economic/security alliances.

So don't give us that tired old Kremlin line that the Ukraine War is the fault of the US. This war would end tomorrow if Putin ordered his military to withdraw from Ukraine

lol, Ukraine can't even do that self-determination and sovereignty thing without a Western-backed coup (and now, perpetual martial law).

"Western backed coup" That's been debunked dozens of times on this board.

Dial up the Kremlin for some new material.
