Just like the F-22s are for the pilots. Obviously the Pentagon, like the Air Force, are not literal animated things that can fly in a plane. Members of those organizations use them. Do you think this is what operates US Air Force jets? :ROFLMAO:

It's a shame it will have to be stripped down to make it usable for AF1. Trump probably loves the interior.
 
So…Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is accepting a $400 M “gift” to the Air Force, or the American people, or Trump’s library, depending on when you hear trump talk about it,
To be clear, this acceptance of such a gift is in violation of the emoluments clause, rightly written into our Constitution so that foreign interests could not unduly influence or bribe anyone holding an office in the government.
I’ve worked with government employees who turned down an offer of a fast food lunch, citing policy.
This alleged “gift” will cost the taxpayers upwards of $1B to tear down, refit, and make suitable to be an AF1 aircraft.
The existing presidential fleet is perfectly fine and extremely well maintained.
This is wholly unnecessary as new presidential aircraft have already been ordered, approved, and being built.
Further, this unnecessary expenditure is unfounded as of yet, with no explanation forthcoming of where this $1B will come from.
Lastly, after spending $1B, the American taxpayers will kiss it goodbye as this “gift” will now be magically regifted (after upgrades) to trump’s library.

How can anyone see this as anything other than bribery, corruption, and theft?

They said they're only using it as Air Force One until Trump leaves office. Then they're giving it to Trump.
