A VERY GOOD POINT!

Because Obama is NOT fundamentally American at his core. That's what lots of the younger voters like about him. And that's why the adults recognize there is something just not quite right about him.

Here, he has been accused of improperly meddling in the electoral process in Kenya and acting as though he was the Messiah.

They even frustrate me when they are sabotaging Democrats! But, after realizing Hillary's management style, with this story serving as a confirmation of the impression I had gotten previously, I'm glad she didn't get the nomination. But Obama is worse.

The birth certificate thing is debunked on his anti-smear website. Although you may not trust the site (which is right about everthing else), at the very least it shows that the accusation of Obama's foreignness is widely recognized as an offensive right-wing political tactic.

The fight the smears website only addresses the contention that Barack Obama isn't a natural born citizen. They use the Birth Certificate that is now being questioned as being a forgery, to dis-prove any claims that Obama isn't qualified to run for president.

His campaign has yet to release an original copy of his Birth Certificate.

Just sayin'.

Compare the messy organization described above with this:

A month ago, McCain’s campaign made a combined 20,000 phone calls and door-knocks. Last week, they made 324,000 — a sixteen-fold increase.

McCain also now boasts county chairpersons in 98 percent of targeted counties in targeted states and 94 percent of all counties in targeted states.

DuHaime listed 19 targeted states: Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.

In these, targeted counties are those that are either population centers, historically competitive areas or locales that offer new opportunities because of McCain strengths or Obama weaknesses.

McCain’s political operation is also now building at the precinct-level. DuHaime said they have “a few thousand” precinct captains and would have “thousands more” soon.

After delays that frustrated many in the top levels of the party, the campaign is now quickly shoring up its infrastructure, as well.

DuHaime said that, along with the RNC’s Victory operation, they had 130 offices in their targeted states and 300 paid staffers in the field between the campaign and party committee.

Additionally, some states that are not top-tier targets have been given office facilities where volunteers can help make phone calls to more competitive states. In Boston, for example, there is an active group of phone-bankers that dial long-distance into the battleground states. The campaign will also open a Utah office as a hub for deploying volunteers to neighboring states likely to be in play. All told, there are now 189 offices open between the campaign and the party.

If the Nicole Simpson/Ron Goldman murders would have taken place today I could imagine OJ setting up a website to discredit any possible stories or evidence suggesting he did it. And then all his fans could say, "See? He says on his web site that he didn't do it and so there you are. Not guilty."

I thought we would have learned from the John Edwards/National Enquirer story that we should wait until the evidence comes in if we can.

By the way, The silenced majority, this coulda/shoulda been a whole new thread. :yes:

Be my guest. I was going to wait for the other shoe to drop, as the person making this claim has a big announcement forthcoming.

It's probably just a conspiracy rumor, but Obama & his campaign's reluctance to send out one of the original copies of the birth certificate to put this to rest is troubling but should be expected from a campaign that has shrouded as much about this man's past as they possibly could.

Which makes me wonder. What is it about this man that they want to hide his past from the public? Has any other president's history been shrouded in mystery like this?

I'm not interested in unduly maligning the man, but we know enough to be alert to signs which suggest danger ahead. These signs are all around Obama and he continues to use his Alinsky 'Jiu Jitsu' to prevent being discovered and the world is lying down and spreading their collective legs rather than asking to know what his exact intentions are.

It's like America is a bunch of air-headed little sorority girls and college freshmen excited by the wonderful potential of Marx & Engels.

Oh, for God's sake.
Read his memoir.
There's nothing the man won't talk about.
He talks about his drug use, his struggles with race and identity.
He talks openly about his mixed feelings toward his father, his mother, his stepdad, his grandparents, and just about everyone else he's ever known.
He talks about school, friends, sports.
He talks about his mixed feelings toward black people.
He talks about his feelings about poverty and class.
He talks about getting violent diarrhea while visiting relatives in Africa and the embarrassment of nearly crapping his pants.

There has never been a presidential candidate so candid about his life, his feelings, his experiences, his beliefs, his choices.
He's a real person, not some public persona.
The people he refers to in his book are real people. His acquaintances with them are verifiable. He was popular in school, in college, in New York, in Chicago. He's been an extrovert all his life. There's no mystery.
He's had close personal acquaintanceships with thousands of people in the course of his short life, and not one has stepped forward with any dirt. Not one has stepped forward to say that he misrepresented them or himself in either of his books.
He's very open, very accessible.
It's true his early life was complicated, but that's not his fault, and it's not that complicated if you read his books. His mother had a penchant for highly educated foreign men, is all. He was basically just along for the ride, like any kid. He lived where she took him, or where she sent him.
He spent the greatest part of his youth living with his grandparents in a condo in Hawaii, being an ordinary teenager.
What's so mysterious?
I know many people who had complicated starts in life, confusing childhoods, convoluted beginnings.... yet are not complicated people. Myself included.
You must read his book before you talk any further about this.
If you want to understand, it's all right there in plain english, and it's eminently understandable.
Barack Obama has had a fascinating life, and he's an immensely likeable, open, and honest person. Very real, very down-to-earth, very compassionate, and very, very smart.

1) He IS a Lawyer
In all honesty do most Americans trust Lawyers, do you?
2) He was sired by a Foreign National
Were you?
3) He espouses the teachings of Karl Marx and Engels.
Do you?
4) He has received education in a Muslim State.
Have you?
5) His wife recently said that she was NOW proud to be American.
Why would any American NOT be proud of his/her nation.
Are YOU proud to be an American?

I am NOT an American however I am proud of my Nationality although I may not necessarily be proud of what the Politicians in my Country have done to my Country.
I could well understand if Mrs. Obama had made a statement similar to the above, however she did not.
She simply stated (since her husband was a candidate to be President) she could say that she was now proud to be an American.
