Sorry, Lefties. You didn't get your war.
Turkey agrees to Syria ceasefire: Vice President Mike Pence
They won't be happy with this GOOD news...
They won't be happy with this GOOD news...
Really? How does it remain to be seen? The United States just capitulated to the demands of a country with a fraction of its economic, diplomatic or military power. America received NO benefits for this negotiation, we removed sanctions we claimed to put on Turkey because they didn't do what they want and we, once again, betrayed our allies. It remains to be seen if the news is good.
Please list all the ways this is good for America, to have a much weaker country ignore our warnings and then demand we agree to their ultimatum which works against American interests, which we do.Hell ****in no they won't...lol
It's not a ceasefire if America was never actively engaged and one of the two parties who were actively engaged was not present for negotiations.

This has weakened American standing in the world (to the benefit of Russia, among others), will cause allies to be even more mistrustful of us, shows America to be weak against those who cross us and America received NO BENEFIT AT ALL.
So...in what ways do you see this news as ever possibly being good?

U.S. blood and treasure isn't being spent waging an objectiveless conflict.
Always supported getting out of Syria. Life has been lost due to Donald's idiocy, he should have called in the UN Peacekeepers to protect the Kurds before he unleashed the bloodthirsty **** bag, Erdogan.
That being said, in "120" hours - so 5 more days of slaughter - and hopefully the ceasefire will remain in effect. The damage is already done, however, hundreds of ISIS fighters have escaped.
Bestgore will probably have beheading videos very shortly.
"It will be a pause in military operation for 120 hours...
We're still going to be in the area, just not militarily. So we're still spending that treasure.
But hey, at least Turkey got everything it wanted.

You totally misread the piece:
Ah-huh. The "objective" has been reached argument. I will agree with that. Putin is now the undisputed controlling influence in Syria. Objective reached.
Oh? Who's there?
My bad - 5 day stay - until the slaughter begins anew.
If it gets us completely out of the mess in Syria for no more than a few billion (more) in humanitarian aid then it was a good deal. If we remain with our military in Syria playing policeman for a decade (or more) then it was a completely bad idea.
We are going to still be in the region, just not engaging militarily. Did you not read the details or listen to Pence afterwards? Or did you just see a headline and started jumping up and down for joy because you thought you could spin this as a Trump win instead of Turkey playing us? Seems like the latter.
And you double down.. lol
Ok...who are we posting there?
Vice President Mike Pence, speaking at a news conference on the ceasefire, said the United States will “continue to engage” in Syria, but “not militarily.”
“The President made it clear that we're not going to have military personnel on the ground, but the United States will continue to engage diplomatically, politically and, of course, in humanitarian aid and support to effect all of the people affected in this region,” Pence said.
