House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is receptive to the idea of prosecuting some Bush administration officials, while letting others who are accused of misdeeds leave office without prosecution, she told Chris Wallace in an interview on "FOX News Sunday."
"I think you look at each item and see what is a violation of the law and do we even have a right to ignore it," the California Democrat said. "And other things that are maybe time that is spent better looking to the future rather than to the past."
Rep. John Conyers, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, announced Friday he wants to set up a commission to look into whether the Bush administration broke the law by taking the nation to war against Iraq and instituting aggressive anti-terror initiatives. The Michigan Democrat called for an "independent criminal probe into whether any laws were broken in connection with these activities."
Here we go!

And why not? Republicans spent $70 million investigating a failed land deal of the Clintons and had to dive into the gutter to ambush Clinton about a consensual affair.

Go git em Nancy.

I thought you were of the mind that congress should stay out of the market and economy. Am I wrong?

Money was never an issue with neo-cons when they were calling the shots.

What's changed?

This time it'd just be a witch hunt to distract the writhing masses from the real danger facing them.

Spending my tax dollars for political revenge. it is the other way around my friend.

How come you automatically assume it's politics? What if crimes were committed? Or is that not a possibility with you?

Money was always an issue with extreme liberals when they weren't calling the shots.

Not really. What it was being spent on was.

1 Billion for the war? Against. 1 Billion for health care? For.

The difference here is that it didn't seem like a problem when millions were spent chasing down Clinton's blow job. Yet when the problem comes to something like say the illegal doings of the administration. Then money is an issue. Even if they don't take more then 50-70 cents of wealth generating tax dollars per tax payer.

Why do I have the feeling that no wrong doing could be proven or some other thing that will lead to no penalties for anyone? Or someone down the chain will take all the blame and then his sentence will be commuted or somehow be explained as served due to his duty to the American people or some other garbage? :(

Yeah, that is certainly possible. I'm hoping there is enough pressure on him and Congress and the new AG to do something about these crimes. But, politics is not very predictable. :(

Well Pelosi's been known to overvalue her own opinion and to really like to hear herself talk so I'm not taking this all that seriously.

It's all about getting even for the Clinton Impeachment. It's been stuck their asses for over 8 years now and they can't stand it.
