Peaceful Protests during the anthem, what are they?

Kneeling/locking arms during the anthem is:

I quoted you saying all sorts of unflattering things about those that voted a certain way in the poll. That you can't own it now is not my problem. Please do prove how their views are objectively wrong.

It's funny that so many posters catch you posting lies. Then what happens, you just post another lie and that one gets caught too. Nothing you said about her post was true. LMAO

Hahahahaha. Another perfect example, where did he say its wrong or bad, suggest it need abandoned or that he doesn't like it? Looks like you are making more stuff up. :D

Yep another untrue post bested again.

There's nothign that that shows what you claim. I asked you where did I assume opinions are wrong simply because they are different than mine. Seems you are struggling to support your lie. Can you do it or not, if so please do.

What personal attack? I said your post appears to be trollish and hackish, it is definitely dishonest but I give them the benefit of the doubt but maybe I should stop. If you think that's a personal attack stop making those types of posts and stop lying.

I don't know if that's true (that we don't agree on anything) but I am certainly delighted that my posts will never be mistaken for yours. I'm glad my post will never be proved to be a lie or totally ignorant. :) Now back to your post, please show an example of me doing what you claim.

Trollish not a personal attack... quite the disconnect you have there.

More lies. Where did X say that the other poster said the it was wrong or bad?

He never did. More lies. Now I expect more lies to try to cover up these lies.

Like the rest of the stuff going on, the Confederate flag thing, tearing down statues, re-naming schools, the NFL protests are a manifestation of the left's inability to come to terms with the election of Donald Trump. They will never accept him as their president and are prone to taking out their resentment on anything that they can conceivably connect to Trump and his followers. Make no mistake; these actions are targeting who the left thinks support Trump. They want to punish these people for humiliating them back in November. Unfortunately, that humiliation is still an open wound; as fresh as election day, and as painful. They can't strike back by way of the legislative process because they hold so little power at the national or state level; so they are reduced to largely symbolic acts of revenge.

And yes, The NFL protests are disrespectful..That's the flag under which thousands of young men gave their lives to free the slaves. Like the Constitution, that flag represents an ideal which we should all strive toward. Being human, we fall short, but we do make progress toward what the flag means. It also represents all the men and women who gave the ultimate trying to secure that promise.

Well OK but another way to look at it is that America is coming unglued and about to get whomped because this amount of stupidity and division will do that every time. And keep in mind that this civil war just keeps going, it does not go away with Trump, as it did not go away with Obama, and it did not go away with Bush, and it did not go away with Clinton....it just get worse, always worse....this country keeps getting worse.

Till enough folks wise up.

So somehow this is actually a hot topic issues and being back I've read quite a bit about it and seems like once again people are talking past eachother. So I wanna know if people really understand the most basic principle of the discussion.

Kneeling/locking arms during the anthem is:

in FACT disrespectful to the flag, country and or troops
in FACT NOT disrespectful to the flag, country and or troops
in FACT just a peaceful protest and any opinion on it is just that, OPINION.

It is disrespectful...

It is disrespectful...

Why is it disrespectful to not wish to make a political statement at a football game? The one has nothing to do with the other. Forced speech is just wrong. Now, just be a good boy or girl and go along with the crowd......Why? Because others expect you to?

What a crock.

Really. I got democrat family members who still can't talk about it. They got their backside kicked so hard they are still in shock. That is the problem with the everyone gets a trophy people they haven't learned how to accept defeat and move on.

He answered is own question in the title, thread should be locked.

I hit a little close to home looks like.

Ah yes. When someone says your post was a load of crap, that really means you were right! Ironclad logic there.

I’m sure you do.

The sheer arrogance of these idiot Trump supporters, who are so hung up on that THEY WON that they chalk up any and all objection to Trump as because THEY WON rather than the fact that the man is a vainglorious, narcissistic, thin-skinned, ignorant and painfully dishonest boob — well, it’s getting kinda old.

Kobie; the man is a vainglorious, narcissistic, thin-skinned, ignorant and painfully dishonest boob — well, it’s getting kinda old.

Thank you for making my point. :)

Your silly attempts to demean aside... you don't have a clue as to what the issue is really about. They are not forced to do the anthem. Nobody actually ****ing cares if a person stands or says the words. Nobody noticed if this happened before.. But when a person specifically targets the anthem to protest and when they say they are protesting a racist country by protesting during that countries flag anthem... then people care.

Not my President...

I served under that flag. If I did not serve to support peaceful civil disobedience then I served for nothing

Also a crock. I am so sick of flag idolatry.

So many people who wrap themselves in the flag do a piss-poor job of adhering to the values it allegedly represents.

Do you do a good job adhering to its values?

You job is to show where where I assumed opinions are wrong simply because they are different than mine. I also asked you what my views are. I'm waiting kid. :)

Yep another untrue post bested again.

Yep at no time in this thread did I assume an opinion was wrong because it doesn't match mine. Not once.
