PBS Slaps a Jawdropping Warning Label On Trump Speech: ‘Inflammatory Rhetoric’ Can Prompt ‘Acts of Violence’

Hi, jpn.

PBS is also available on that good old freebee standby, AM radio. This poor old country mouse is a radio junkie. TV, with its accent on visual content, presents information at a rate that's just too slow for me. Literate for over 80 years, I can scan print rapidly.

Regards, stay safe 'n well.
Absolutely! I can't stand having to watch a 30 minute show to get 2 minutes of information. Cut off my cable years ago. Reading is so much better.

Well its PBS not a corporate outfit. Of course because it is "grown up" it has no viewers. People want infotainment...
Being a private/independent station who has just shown sporting a nice set of big balls for standing up to willful insanity, I'm planning to send a contribution to PBS in the near future.

Agreed. But what about the years of Al Sharpton speeches and similar that never got warning lables? What about the ginning up of lynch mob mentality against white people accused of murdering Blacks, when the media Knew it was BS?
I love it when a "Whataboutism" includes the words "what about."🤣🤣🤣

They should force Fox News to always have a banner at the top in all caps saying "Everything we say is complete bollocks!!!".

Try thinking at all.
As another poster wrote here such labels are similar to warning labels on cigarettes-or warning labels in places where toxic or carcinogenic chemicals are being used. At its most basic level they say: PAY ATTENTION: WARNING!
I would have preferred something like this: "Listening to the jackass bray can be dangerous to your health".
But I will settle for what PBS did.
More faith-based bullshit. We have mountains of data that lead to warning labels on cigarettes. Can you really not see the difference? Or is your understanding of health issues faith-based as well, so it all looks the same?

Taylor operates in a metaphor-free world, everything is literal.

Is it whataboutism whenever anybody points out your double standards? Pretty clever way to avoid ever having to own up.

I guess some people are just suckers for leftist propaganda. How stupid to you have to be to think that message was to "prevent violence"? How, exactly would that occur?

They put that up there so the low information types would think "Oh, Trump supporters equal violence. Better vote Democrat". Because they know that it's the left that are always destroying things when they don't get their way, and they want to make people think otherwise.
Was it the democrats who committed the seditious insurrection on Jan 6-or was it the repulsican followers of the jackass?

When did Sharpton ever incite anything....let alone cause an insurrection on the Capital?

Talk about not "owning up".

I swear, the crap coming out of the mouths of right-wingers these days.

If you don't think Sharpton's rhetoric has been incendiary, there is no sense in even arguing with you. Liberalism is a religion, and I might as well be trying to convert the Pope.

I asked for ANY example of incitement, anything where he setup a date for his followers to meet, riled them up to where they caused significant damage to property, persons, or government institutions.

Can the trumpanzees EVER come up with anything better than bullshit whataboutism? I think not.

Such weak gaslighting.

In reality, it's your way of avoiding the topic.

Just a bunch of people, on their own.
And yet we have video of the insurrectionist pukes reading Trump's orders aloud to the insurrectionist mob. Yes, the insurrectionists called them "orders".

Just a bunch of people, on their own.
LMFAO
“Just a bunch of people, on their own”
I heard they just came from a Cub Scout meeting and we’re unhappy with the den mother and decided to take it out on the Capitol.
Is that true?

Trump wants violence. He’s a fascist.
