Dont matter how long ago. In the United States of the Offended, you are guilty and need to be punished for life for saying anything that a african american dont like.I just came into this conversation ... Did someone say that had she referred to whites as honkies she would not have been fired? BTW, how long ago did she use the "N" word and in what circumstances?

Dont matter what they call each other everyday, in music, movies, stand up routines, sports. YOU cant do it.
Throw her on the same pile they started with Jimmy the Greek.
You seem to not have a good grasp of what "not tolerating" something means in interpersonal relations. Let me give you an example in case you ever decide that you want to not tolerate racism in your life. You don't tolerate it from others? How you going to prevent it?
Well you can't blame them for wanting to maintain their public image.
And contrary to popular opinion, it's not a big conspiracy to get all conservatives. They are a private business, and they have the right to decide who they broadcast.
Aww dont be mad just keep your racist slurs in your own home and you will be ok.

Nobody, except for you, is talking about rights. I'm talking about regular interactions between people.
No, I'm a big advocate of the truth. You're not providing any though. What you said was a platitude. You said, "fighting intolerance with intolerance is hypocritical". Does this mean you admit that you tolerate racism?
Please explain to me how not tolerating racism in my own life is the same thing as denying people their rights. I can't wait. LOL
Lessee, Iam from Washington DC, my fathers best friend was a black police officer he served on the force with, I worked 10 years in management at Waste Management (75% black work force), my niece is married to a black man, we babysit a baby born to a niece that died who had said baby with a black man.
Now, you want to talk about me being a racist?
wtf are you even talking about?
Eh, I don't know that never saying racial slurs outside of the context I gave you makes me "better" than anyone. I've certainly done my fair share of other "bad" things, but saying racial slurs is not one of them. I just stated a fact. Makes sense that you would try insult me for doing something good. Why do you think it's bad to have never said a racial slur outside the context I stated?
Oh and grip, remember what I said a while ago when you launched in a random personal attack against me in another thread? I said that you always breakdown when you enter discussions on things like race. You're proving my point.
None of that means your not racist.
If you want to use racial slurs you can. If you dont want others to hear do it in your home.
How racist could I be? I not only allow but invite blacks that I know to my home. I help take care of a half black child. I grew up in a city that is 80% black.None of that means your not racist.

yeah, African Americans have always had a lot of power in this country -- being black in this country has been an advantage beginning with slavery ...
You do realize that the person that is suing her is white dont you?
And playing the slavery card is weak.
From who?I'm sorry if you think I'm breaking down because honestly it seems more like to me you're getting a whooping.
My argument isn't about rights. I never said "I don't consider people's rights." I'd rather talk about what I actually said. Why don't you want to do that? You don't consider peoples rights when you interact with them? That explains a lot.
I never said anything about the law because it's irrelevant to my argument. I'd rather talk about what I actually said. Why don't you want to do that? You believe in being intolerant of somebody talking, truth. There's a big difference between somebody saying something stupid and doing something stupid, truth. I can forgive others for their ignorant expressions it's called tolerance and following the law, truth.
I never said anything about "trying to get rid of all the racism in my life"? I'd rather talk about what I actually said. Why don't you want to do that? How are you going to get rid of all racism in your life without being a tyrant?
Not true. I am intolerant of racism, as I said. Why would you distort my words like that? You're intolerant and condemning to any opinion that varies from your own.
"Overreacting" is a subjective judgment. I react the way I believe is appropriate. Your opinion on whether it's too much is irrelevant to me.By continually over reacting to intolerance you become a victim to it.
Nobody said anything about people not having the right to express themselves.
Sure you did when you said you don't tolerate someone expressing their racist opinion.
Please explain to me how not tolerating racism in my own life is the same thing as denying people their rights.
Not to overwhelm you even more, but I have another question. How are you defining intolerance? Does mere expression of displeasure and criticism count as intolerance? You don't consider peoples rights when you interact with them? That explains a lot.

So if I dont see the big deal with Paul Deen, I must be a racist.you seem to have a knack for missing the point of posts, don't you? also, it'll help if you read not only responses to your posts, but yours as well ...
frankly, this story really shouldn't be getting this kind of attention ... I'll move on in fact ... take care ... enjoy your time with your black friends (I got some too just in case someone tries to call me a racist) ...
So if I dont see the big deal with Paul Deen, I must be a racist.
I missed no point, the post that I responded to were fulling intent on calling me a racist. But since that is probably not allowed on the forum. They tip toed around it just enough.
The friends I have that are black are part of our family, not just friends. So keep trying your hardest to make a racist out of me.
Oh please, I didnt use the weak "some of my best friends are black" statement. Not only are they friends but they are family.Crue, I have no interest in knowing whether you're a racist or not (although your comment on how African Americans have to approve raised a red flag for me), but a little advice - the "some of my best friends are black" response doesn't help make the point you're trying to make ... take care ...

Also, you hedged on this question, so I'd like you answer it. If you accuse me of doing something, it's only fair that you show me how I did it.
Again, I'd like to know how not tolerating racism in my life denies people their rights.
