Paramount to Pay Trump $16 Million to Settle ‘60 Minutes’ Lawsuit

So does settling out of court like 60 minutes argument apply to Fox News? Or is it just a bunch of bunk?
Except the 60 Minutes suit didn't even make it through to get a summary judgement, the FOX/Dominion case had in fact went to court once already, and FOX lost there with a summary judgement that they'd have to go to a bigger trial. The 60 Minutes suit didn't get to that. They simply settled without any admission of lies nor anyone besides Trump and MAGA (no judge, unlike with the FOX/Dominion suit) claiming that they did anything wrong.

The suit Trump brought against Paramount was looking to be completely meritless if it had gone to court. There is no evidence that Trump would have won that suit. That is not the same or similar to the FOX/Dominion suit, where 1 judge had already stated that FOX clearly lied about Dominion and that they had to go to trial via a summary judgement.

Also, look at the difference in the filed amount for damages and agreed to amounts for each case.

Dominion v FOX - $1.6B filed for, they settled for $787.5M
Trump v Paramount - $2B and then $10B filed for, they are going to pay his attorney and court fees and give the rest of a $16M settlement to his presidential library

What evidence do you have regarding this?
The threats started right after the election. Trumps hand picked FCC chair was pretty darn clear from the git go. This is what he said just last week after delaying the decision for 2 moths.....and voila a settlement.

"FCC Chair Brendan Carr, a Republican named to the post by Trump, said last week the FCC is reviewing Paramount’s proposed $8.4 billion merger with Skydance Media. The FCC did not make a decision by the 180-day informal deadline in mid-May."

Just checked, this is correct.

Someone should sue fox everything they edit to conceal the truth.

All news media does this, which is why the term fake news is so ubiquitous.
They’ve been right about Trump.

The summery judgement wasn’t a final ruling, but moving on to a jury trial. You should of said it was just bunk and saved some time and space.

No, it wasn't a final ruling but does provide evidence that they weren't just putting up a frivolous lawsuit.

You realize media can't hand anything to anybody, but let's compare this to the almost billion dollar payout by fox for lying, since you want to talk about media, the conservative media is much much worse.

I assume you're hoping that neutrality and fairness get restored to conservative media too, correct? Somehow I doubt you are

The size of the damages shows that Fox Harmed the voting machine company, while the liberal attacks on Trump rolled off like water off a duck, if they didn't actually Help him. Liberals are getting to the point where they have so little credibility that they might as well just keep their mouths shut .

Despite this case, the media landscape still overwhelmingly tilts left and portrays Trump in the most negative light in almost all instances. Alas, this is just the air we breathe.

Wait.. are you telling me that trump isn't just a felonious idiot, and we have been played by the media for, what, the past 40 years or so?

I feel so foolish.
