"Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God," she exhorted the congregants. "That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God's plan."

They have the video of her saying the above..5.50 in the video.
Now I am afraid of her.. she is no better than the religious fanatics in Tehran or the fundies in the US.
She actually believes that the US invaded Iraq and Afghanistan because of a task from GOD?
So, uhhh...she goes to church and she prays that the country acts in accordance with God's wishes. Did you have a point or is this more of your insane, uninformed blathering?
Can you please point me to any policy she has implemented or any speech at a government function where she spoke in such a way as to suggest that she wants a theocracy or thinks that religion guides her office?

I think that's done when you talk about wars using your country's military funded through tax payer dollars as wars for any form of god. Wars are not acts of gods, they are acts of men and to invoke gods is nothing more than religious pandering trying to make your side to be justified and rightful in their slaughter of their enemies. I'm pretty sure that's what the terrorists have been doing for some time now, manipulate a religion and its beliefs to encourage people to engage in a war. Gods have no place in govenrment.
Did she or did she not claim that this war is a charge from a god?
If you claim wars are charges from gods, that has proven your pension for allowing religion into government decisions. Such a candidate can not be trusted with the people's army. Not when they claim such outrageous things as wars being at the behest of gods.

I already did. Anyone claiming that wars come from orders of gods and believes such a thing could not ignore an order from that god should they feel it is an order to go to war. Religion would ultimately decide then the course of action to be taken because you are so caught up in edicts of the invisible that you do not take light of what would be best for the country or even if what you are doing is within the power granted to you by the people.

Where has she, in the capacity of a government official, made such remarks and suggested that she allows religion to dictate her actions as a government official?

wouldn't the correct word be 'penchant' or something that sounds similar?
The founding fathers seemed to even believe that in part things can come from god, as our rights are derived from there.
No WHERE in our constitution does it state that an elected representitive can not be influenced by their religion in making policy or law.
Everything about a person influences how they think and the choices they will make. If someone is religious and believes that things move according to gods plan, then yes, they're going to hope that a decision as large as one to go to war is in gods plan...which is what she's doing here. And there's nothing wrong with that.
No where am I seeing her stating we must go over there to kill them becuase they're unbelievers. No where do I see her saying that god is demanding we rain rigtheous fury upon them. She's stating that she prays that what we are doing is part of gods plan.
I'm far from a religious person, but the uber athiests in this country that seem to believe that EVERY OTHER belief possible that someone has is completely and fully fine to be used to affect their decision, but if that belief is derived from religion somehow we must cry foul and chastise them over it.
If I say my mother raised me to believe stealing is wrong and that's why I'm against theft, I'd get applauded. If I said I was raised that the bible taught me stealing was wrong, I'd get yelled that I'm trying to impose my religious views upon someone.
I've gotta go with Jall and IT here. People are trying to make her words into something much, much greater than they are.
I thought looking to learn covered thatMaybe. It's a possibility, I don't run everything through dictionary.com and sometimes I take what the spellcheck gives me. It's not always right. Is there a point?

Personal bias comes into personal decisions, decisions one would have to make as executive. Let's say I'm out at the bar with some friends and I say "Man, all black people are scum, we should round them up and put them into camps so no one has to deal with them". Would you be comfortable putting me into a position in which I can do just that?
I mean, I didn't make that comment as part of my government platform or anything, it would be just my own personal bias. It doesn't matter if I make such a comment in or out of office, it demonstrates my own personal bias towards the running of the government. Something so engrained could do nothing but influence my own decisions as executive.
I agree that her comments make her sound like a nutcase. However, I fail to see how this sets her apart from the countless other religious nutcases in this country.
So essentially you believe opposite of the founding fathers and that a religious test should be needed for the realm of the presidency. If the president is religious and seeks to pray about his choices and for guidance on issues, and believes that things in general in life work according to gods plan and thus hopes that his acts are in line with that, they'd be unfit. And the previous things are common, to, well the majority of religious people.
So...yay religious tests?
