If the lion was unborn, this would illicit a yawn too. What do Americans care about? Clearly not unborn babies, who are murdered and cut to pieces and the parts sold. That illicits a yawn.

What do Americans care about? Clearly not unborn babies, who are murdered and cut to pieces and the parts sold. That illicits a yawn. Not the prospect of a rogue state that is openly hostile to the US getting nuclear arms, which people are tired of hearing about. Not the ongoing conflict in Afghanistan, which doesn't even make the news. Not the national debt. Not lawbreaking by a leading presidential candidate. Not federal agencies that target political enemies to stifle their rights of free speech. Not a president who enacts laws by fiat.
But kill a lion in Africa and the outrage can't be contained.

Jesus Christ, how many lies can you pack into one post.
Because a fetus is not a human being and it is an insult to humanity to call it that. The lion on the other hand was a free and self-sufficient being that was illegally murdered by a cowardly hunter.
I am against all of that which you listed LD. :2wave: But what this Mope did was wrong. He has no Righteous ground to stand on.
How or why they let him leave the country is the question.
A dentist that wanted to take on a dangerous animal. He didn't have to go to any other country. He could have came here to Chicago. See if he can handle the 2legged kind.....that shoots back. Some even after they have been hit. Then maybe he can brag. Maybe!
It's Lowdown. I don't think he has a limit.
It's an insult to people who say an unborn baby is not a human being. Such people need insulting.
People can kill unborn babies if they like. Their right to do so is the law of the land. But don't insult our intelligence by saying it's not a human being. People should own their immorality. And they should show some consistency. If it's OK to murder millions of unborn babies it is surely OK to kill a lion.

First it was a protected lion, second it had a collar and was being tracked. Third they shot it at night. Fourth the guide and license seems to be bogus as the guides are now arrested. I'm sure this guy wishes he just went on safari and watched the lions and appreciated them alive given what's happened. Hindsight is 20/20 after all.But kill a lion in Africa and the outrage can't be contained.
I'm only one person, and not an American, but all those things you listed bother me, including the killing of this lion who was resident in an animal reserve and was lured from the reserve, shot with an arrow, and then wandered around for 40 hours suffering before it was locate and shot at which point it was skinned and decapitated.
That disgusts me for a multitude of reasons and to think an American dentist paid $50,000 for the privilege of doing so disgusts me even more.

No you are not the only one, but the OP listed a complete fallacy to make a point. This issue has nothing to do with unborn babies.

It's not ok to murder unborn babies. Put your big boy pants on and quit being so emotional.
I can't walk up to a pregnant woman, punch her in the belly, kill the fetus, and then walk off without being arrested for assault and possibly murder. Because it wasn't my body and not my choice. But for that woman, that fetus is using her body, her organs and her blood in order to survive, and if she has bodily autonomy, and if we don't have the power to tell people that they are forced to use their bodies to support others, then we don't have any say so in what choice she makes, even if we disagree morally with it. If she decides that she doesn't want to use her body to keep this fetus alive, then that's her choice because it's her body. So understand the difference. This isn't a thing were people are saying "it's just a fetus, **** it". They are saying that you have a right over your own body and nothing trumps that. And if your body requires someone elses body to survive, then you can't force them". Otherwise we could force parents to give blood and organs to sick children etc.
You're correct of course, the OP was pointing out the hypocrisy.
But it is not hypocrisy, just a failed argument that if the OP *perceives* someone does not agree with him on unborn babies then they should also not be upset with this story. It is a fallacy, and damn near a bait attempt.
Did you know it is possible to care about more than one thing? It's true, it's true!
I find it interesting which issue elicits the huge response.
