Because DJT behaves like a nine year old paper mob boss who keeps violating his gag order, there's strong concerns from law experts and DC Appellate Panel signaling that he's very close to being jailed of which he deserves. (y) Will 'The Don' catch a clue and finally obey the law? It's extremely doubtful. :cautious:

As the Daily Beast's Jose Pagliery is reporting, the former president is all but ignoring the gag order imposed on him by the D.C. judge overseeing his election subversion case, and one defense lawyer from Texas suggested Chutkan is poised to "blow everyone’s mind" and send the former president to jail if he keeps it up.

Speaking with the Beast, Catherine Ross of George Washington University Law School, explained, "I think by every indication, Judge Chutkan is well prepared for this. She’s not putting up with this.

And Pagliery reported she likely would have the full support of the D.C. Appellate Court based upon their previous ruling in favor of a gag order.

"On Dec. 8, her gag order was partially upheld by a three-judge D.C. appellate panel that voiced serious concerns about Trump’s ability to scare former Vice President Mike Pence from testifying against the man he once considered a friend. Their assessment of the danger shows that they recognize the perils of letting Trump run rampant," The Beast report states while noting the judges wrote, "Some of Mr. Trump’s speech poses a significant and imminent threat to the fair and orderly adjudication of the criminal proceeding against him."

Trumper's arguments:

Deep State
Hatred of Trump and TDS
Corrupt Justice System
He did nothing wrong

I think the first thing she'll do is place him in the holding cell of the courtroom for an afternoon.

They'll never lock him up. Never. House arrest at Mar-a-Larceny, maybe.

Even that's a great start - hopefully he loses it and begins mouthing threats like his insane self normally does to which the judge can then order his sorry ass behind adult steel bars.

Like it or not, he is entitled to Secret Service protection. In that regard, house arrest might be the best solution. But he should be confined to a bland room the same size as a jail cell with only a bed and a toilet, food and visitors the same as regular prisoners, no phone, internet, TV, etc. IOW, as close as possible to real jail. He wouldn't have the interaction of general population but not the risk either, He effectively would be in isolation but that's the tradeoff for security.
