After years of telling trump supporters, "Let's don't talk about politics", we've noticed a change: MAGA relatives, friends, and acquaintances are silent. No sneaky references to what they insist (wrongly) are non-political topics.

And there's no bragging about trump. Or about anything he's done or is doing.

Complete silence.
 
I am absolutely fascinated with the turn around on DP.

I can remember not that long ago when it was hard to find a Trump supporter who could admit to something as obvious and undeniable as "Trump lies"

In the past few weeks I have seen the braver Trump supporters post unprompted criticisms of Trump.


In the end, the very, very last set of Trump supporters left will be the weakest and most gullible among them
 
It took less than 100 days for demented dictator Trump to swing into Project 2025 lock, stock and barrel, rapidly putting yet another lie to his idiot acolyte's denials in record time. Most of the transparently impossible "day one" promises of maga-lomaniac Trump have faded so far back in the rear view mirror, they've already long passed the vanishing point on that horizon.

What do Trump's moronic minions have to crow about? His failing deportation debacle? Not only is there no end in sight, or should I say no phone call within earshot, for the resolution of his butt buddy Putin's plans to overrun Ukraine, but by the time Israel is done with them, all that will be required to clean out the remaining Palestinians will be an armada of bulldozers, facilitating construction for "Trump Plaza Gaza Hotel Resort Casino Spa and Country Club".

Noticed the same thing before I left Goergia and my family. Many on the man side are trumpdump followers, so in the spirit of familial peace, politics are generaly an avoided topic of convo....because when it goes bad, it goes REALLY BAD, know what I mean?.......
 
My brother talked about voting for “that woman,” just before Election Day. I cannot goad I’m into talking politics now.

Because they see the vile hatred casted on his supporters. They are afraid of the haters.
 
You Trump haters can kid yourselves , but Trump is strong with his support. This is more false the "sky is falling", "he is killing the children" mantra to rile up before mid term elections.
 
I don't talk politics in person anymore unless I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to get a faux recap.

I think it's the same. It's you supporters that have went a little quiet. As a matter of fact, you were asked a specific question on another thread on what Trump has accomplished. As far as I read yesterday, you didn't answer.
That's what we're talking about with all this 'silence' from MAGA. There seems to be only a few die hards that are not willing to honestly answer specific questions without deflecting or some other avoidance tactic.

It's obvious for all to see and not that hard to figure out at all.

The more the hate escalates means the better Trump is doing. The funny thing is they are hating Trump for stuff that most Americans want and are alienating themselves more and causing the popularity of the democrap party to reach new lows every week. The neo-leftists are motivated by hatred and other emotions, but the democrapic party is motivated by money and I really can't see donors lining up for this shit. Soon the neo-leftists will have to be jettisoned just to keep the lights on at the DNC.

The reason is Trump's incompetence is at a current zenith. Even the diehards know it because it's a massive WTF moment for all. It's tough watching a dumbass acting like he knows what he's doing, then he opens his clueless mouth. This is the most stupid this nation has ever been by a longshot. Nothing to crow about, indeed!

I am able to, but it occurs less frequently. The way to talk politics in person is to be very perceptive when the tone of the convo begins to become emotional. That is the point to politely cut if off. Change the subject. If others insist on pursuing it and ratcheting up, then invent some excuse to have to leave. Then just walk away.

When emotions are allowed to overshadow reason and logic, nothing more is accomplished and people stop listening. They become fixated on something that was previously said and mainly focus on expounding upon how some previous statement made them feel.

No productive exchange of views may follow after that point, so that is the time to look for the exit.

If I discover that a friend or family member wants to sell me faux bullshit, I shut it down immediately by changing the subject. If that doesn't work, I would fake an important or unimportant event, such as needing to take a shit. I think that I have used, "Hang on, man, my wife is yelling for me. Oh, shit, kiddo had a blowout. I'll call you back."

You gotta short circuit that shit, yo.
