I am afraid that for Trump supporters even tanking the stock market may not have been too far for him to have gone. Did you notice that the Supreme Court just "temporarily" blocked the judge's order to return the man that The Trump administration illegally sent to El Salvador and is now claiming that it cannot repatriate?
"Abrego Garcia, a 29-year-old Salvadoran national who has never been charged or convicted of any crime, was detained by immigration agents and deported last month.

He had a permit from DHS to legally work in the U.S. and was a sheet metal apprentice pursuing a journeyman license, his attorney said. His wife is a U.S. citizen.

In 2019, an immigration judge barred the U.S. from deporting Abrego Garcia to El Salvador.

A Justice Department lawyer conceded in a court hearing that Abrego Garcia should not have been deported. Attorney General Pam Bondi later removed the lawyer, Erez Reuveni, from the

case and placed him on leave."

The average person who voted for Trump might be the guy in the last frame, but MAGA? Nah, they still love him and think he's doing what's "best" for the US. It's why Trump loves the poorly educated.

I don’t know what Trump is trying to do. But he hasn’t lost much support since the election. Trump received 49.8% of the vote last year. His current job approval stands at 47.6%, not much of a drop.

https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/approval/donald-trump/approval-rating

When it comes to immigration, a majority of Americans approve on how Trump has handled this issue by a 51.5% to 45.3%.

https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/approval/donald-trump/issues/immigration

this one issue is probably what’s keeping Trump’s overall job performance as high as it is as he’s below water on most other issues. What I find interesting is the party breakdown on Trump’s job approval/disapproval. 4% of democrats approve, 92% disapprove, republicans 93% approve, 5% disapprove and independents 43% approve, 53% disapprove. Very similar to Biden’s numbers by party on election day last year. Democrats 90% approved, 8% disapproved, republicans 6% approved 92% disapproved, independents 35% approved, 60% disapproved. Give Trump another month or two, he’ll be down to that 35% approval level from independents if not lower.

I think what this shows is the habit of president’s governing only for their base. Trump governing only for republicans, Biden governing only for democrats. Independent not liking how either president governed. Hence the change from Trump to Biden and back to Trump.

Oh, but he is you're President. Just learn to live with it, there's another election in four years.

If anything, people who do not support Trump's deleterious and purposeful mangling of American democracy should be well informed and vocal. Non-Trumpers should be loud and proud. Democrats need to act like they've got a pair.

Appeasement is MAGA trait.

Are these petty criticisms really more important to you than having

A closed border
Less crime
Less drugs
Less war
Lower inflation
Lower taxes
etc
etc
etc

None of that except "closed border" is going to happen, unless you are a millionaire or billionaire.

There won't be less crime.

There won't be less drugs.

We are currently not a war (except trade wars) so how can there be less war?

Tariffs will increase inflation.

Tariffs are taxes so we now have higher taxes.

A closed border reduces crime and drugs.

Ukraine and Russia are at war. They wouldn't be if Trump had been reelected.

You don't understand tariffs

... and you don't have a clue about who has been operating as President of the United States of America for the last 4 years.

Sure I do. And it wasn't the convicted fraudster / sexual abuser.

And Chump just pulled a "pump and dump" with the stock markert.

There is another position between "He is not my President" and "Learn to live with it." Some of us acknowledge that he was elected President this time, although not in 2020, when he attempted a coup d'état which should have rendered him ineligible to run in the 2024 election at all.

That does not mean that when we see him breaking numerous laws, that we have to "learn to live" with the current President's criminality. We can fight it because it is not acceptable in a democracy for a President to flout the rule of law and reject the separation of powers delineated in the Constitution. In fact it is the duty of all citizens to fight for this country, which means to oppose the many acts of tyranny imposed on us by Donald Trump.

It doesn't seem like it's working for you.

CNN Poll: Democratic Party’s favorability drops to a record low

CNN —
The Democratic Party’s favorability rating among Americans stands at a record low, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS, fueled in part by dimming views from its own frustrated supporters.

With many in the party saying publicly that their leaders should do more to stand up to President Donald Trump, Democrats and Democratic-aligned independents say, 57% to 42%, that Democrats should mainly work to stop the Republican agenda, rather than working with the GOP majority to get some Democratic ideas into legislation.

It doesn't seem like it's working for you.
That is a personal comment about me, not my ideas, but I don't know what you mean by it..
What wasn't "working for [me}"?

Trying to convince citizens that Trump's agenda i s dangerous for the country.
I actually was simply writing in this thread, not printing pamphlets for the masses. However, if I can educate anyone with my posts on DP, it would please me. Trump is extremely dangerous to the country. I do have the First Amendment right to say so so far, although Trump is whittling down the rights of people to use it so if he remains in office I may lose it as some people already have.

Polls are a summary of the opinions of people too stupid to walk away when they see someone with a clipboard.
