The real story here is Bill O'Reilly turns on Bush. Billo promised the truth on Iraq, and appeared to give it, conceding that the war was lost, and compared it to Vietnam.

Yea, yea, I know, I know. O'Reilly is a far left Liberal who supports al Qaeda, right? Watch the Bushneviks call for Billo to be branded a traitor who should either move to China or be shipped off to Gitmo.

Meanwhile, Tony Snow continues to be delusional.

A White House Press Secretary isn't supposed to be objectionable. He/she is just supposed to parrot the executives branches stances to the media. I think Tony Snow is stuck in his job, I think he'd be much more objectionable if he wasn't employed by the White House. He seems too smart to actually believe some of the **** he has to say.

I agree, but to me, as I stated in my first post, is that Billo turned on Bush. Billo is the guy who once called those who were against Iraq traitors. This is a huge defection for Bush.

Did he actually say that?
It seems whatever time I've had watch that guy, he's basically said Iraq is a poor strategy. Granted I don't watch much of anything on TV, so I know I've missed more than few episodes, but he's always seemed to have a reasonable response to the war: it's not going well and the administration has pretty much bungled it.

How far right is Bill O'Reilly?

figured the Bushneviks would attempt to rewrite history again, and claim that Billo didn't support the war. Rewriting history is something the Bushneviks are very good at, so long as the facts are not presented by the other side. So, in order to properly to debunk THIS attempt to rewrite history, I present a debate featuring Bill O'Reilly, in which his support of Bush and the Iraq war is DOCUMENTED IN HIS OWN WORDS.

I'm a 'Bushnevik' by no stretch of the imagination, so I know you can't put that label onto me... however, I think you read VTA's post incorrectly...

I think O'Reilly can be FOR the war, but against the methods in which it was prosecuted, which was what VTA was trying to say... at least that's the way I read it...

And, Donahue is a pompous, elitist, ***... well, some would say the same about O'Reilly, though, huh?

1) I agree that Donahue IS a pompous elitist.

2) Watch the video. O'Reilly is now saying that the war was not prosecuted properly, but as late as April of this year, that is not what he was saying. As a matter of fact, a lot of the hubris towards those who did not support the war, AND towards those who stated that Bush's prosecution of that war was incompetent, was from O'Reilly himself.

3) I agree that I may have been a little too hard on VTA. If that is the case, then I apologize to VTA.

Here's what everyone always misses, what do the troops think? Our successes are growing in numbers and the moral is high and the troops are in the great majority to tough it out. In Viet Nma moral was bad even though we hammered the enemy in every turn except the American media. The soldiers also watched and saw millions of young people marching against the war and basically gave up. That is why we see huge support for our troop today. Recall Walter Cronkite declaring the war is lost after we beat the crap out of the N Viets in the Tet Offensive!!! Our troops are doing a great job so put your handcuffs away.

Who cares? What the troops "think" is completely irrelevant. You could make an argument about what the commanders and military strategists think, because they're actually making an analysis of the situation based on intel that they have. Asking what the troops think is irrelevant and stupid.

Our successes are growing in numbers

Really? Want to go into more detail on this?

and the moral is high and the troops are in the great majority to tough it out.

Are you arguing that because the troops want to fight that they should keep fighting?

Yeah, everything is going "swimmingly" in Iraq, right?

(Yes, that was a Coulter reference)

I'm curious: now that Bill acknowledges that the war is fubar, has he issued an apology to all of the American citizens he called unpatriotic for criticizing the Iraq War before him? Or was it unpatriotic before, but now no longer so because he says so?

That is why when someone cries don't make the politicians dictate the troop strategy and let the people on the ground assess it is full of crap. Since the people doing the actual fighting, the men/women on the ground have no say in the strategy. In the end they too would get shafted by the same officers who only likes to know success through total body count. There are many case of soldiers being discharged due to mental disorder. The reason the military does not want to pay the expense and they want to get another poor sap to take the point.

Next thing you know, Ann Coulter is going to be the "best man" at a gay wedding

Which part of my question did confuse you?
Need a provide a link to a dictionary?

O'Reilly is a AZZHOLE. He does lie and of course he is a 'follower'.
He has no mind of his own. Just another talk radio blowhard.
He bends like a tree branch in a wind storm.
Now that not many people are liking Bush these days he is now bad mouthing Bush.
His ratings are more important than being faithfull to Bush or anyone else.

I'll answer and respond to challenges and questions but not to smart *** cracks form those in the dark.

Is it really gonna be a shock that they call him a traitor when Billo did the same exact thing when he was for the war?

Didn't Hannity get all crazy on Tony Snow about illegal immigration?? Poor Tony, guy is going to have no friends because of this job.

Rush will probably be the next name to go against Bush. Although all he really does on his show is to say the name CLINTON and his phones light up like the 4th of July fireworks from all the Bush Shoe Shinners!

When Rush turns against Bush.....Stinger, Aqua and Navy Pride are going to be thrown into a frenzy.....not knowing which way to go.

You forgot tot, don't forget the spinning tot.

Wait, but I thought the pundits all got talking points and marching orders from Karl Rove?

What? I thought O'Reily was a blithering idiot, partisan hack, sad excuse for a pundit or journalist that shouldn't be taken seriously and ridiculed constantly? He says one bad thing about the administration and goes with something the left likes and sudden he's vaulted up like some great guy?

God you guys are funny.

And no, this isn't a defense of the bush administration. I think they did a number of things wrong with the war. But I just think you people are absolutely hilarious with your duplicity and single minded political view of the world

They don't?

Who said the left likes him? It's just that even he is now dissing the admin. Must've been some bad ratings

You don't get it. I said I don't respond to smart *** wise cracks

No, you don't get it. Of course there were some smartass wise cracks in that post - because I'm a smartass - but there were also some valid questions that would fit the criteria of what you said you would respond to. So go ahead and respond to them.
