the U.S. strategy and modus operandi are:
--- first support a nation's half population against the other half (as in Bosnia, Serbia, Kosovo, Georgia, Libya, Syria, Ukraine)
--- next wait for the other half to over react
--- then immediately jump on and spotlight that "over reaction"
--- mobilize NATO, EU, UN, IMF, etc. and media propaganda machine
--- followed by sanctions, fleets, troops, invasions, bombings...
--- finally subdue those nations into signing "peace agreement" that allows American troops to permanently stay

Well...if you really get down to brass tacks we're in the process of doing it to ourselves too so it's all fair. It's what Democrats do....just like certain other Democratic Republics.

The "color revolutions" are a CIA strategy and supposed to conceal the identity of a government behind the intrigue. Works great, except of course, where there is a color revolution. You're supposed to pretend you do not see the puppeteer during these elaborate charades. Maybe the US gov't knows what the CIA is doing and maybe they don't. The Congress certainly does not as evidenced by recent hearings where the Congress was lied to by Intelligence Agency heads.

I think I posted a comment on one these multiplying Ukrainian threads about how the NGO's sponsored by charitable donations and direct financing from U.S. branches of government, are often used as the frontline shock troops for regime change. While they are doing their "charitable" good works, they engage in rabble-rousing, organizing opposition hierarchies, training protesters in both violent and non-violent strategies (plainly displayed in the leadup to the overthrow of the Yanukovitch Government), and then the sanctions, the drone attacks, the tomahawk missiles, the "training" officers, and when absolutely necessary - the boots on the ground are dropped in to topple the regime and secure a new regime...if that's even the goal in the first place.

There is a strong argument developing that a large military industrial complex benefits most from leaving behind chaos...such as in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya etc.. If there is nothing clear to gain in the embattled nation, then just leaving a permanent mess that will be a continuous arms market and a destabilizing threat to a nearby enemy (Russia) may be the primary goal in the first place! In this case, since Russia is back to being a smaller scale hegemon, with a more limited list of client states and financial and corporate power, we may be at a stage in world history where those of us who fear the rise of an oppressive global corporate state most of all, see some value in having a few outsiders like Russia and possibly China, still around, as islands of opposition to the only "superpower" left after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Yea, and I heard Venezuela is all the CIA. They're at it again! The righteous Chaves-era regime under Maduro is being wronged. Can't Americans see the people just want to live in peace and prosper in such a free and progressive nation........

Seriously though, stuff like this is just boring. Come on, OP.
