Let's be a little realistic here. If Al-Queda was at war with us then how and why would they only hit us ONCE at home with terrorism?

Why would they ONLY plan some amazing orchestrated event and not hit us with a suicide market bomb, suicide pipe bomb, or some suicide shooting spree which would be IMPOSSIBLE to prevent?

They do this DAILY over there and NEVER over here. If they truely had people and cells over here for almost 10yrs now then why haven't they hit us again?

We CAN'T count the Anthrax threat that would have provided the link to Iraq until some scientist whistle blower proved it to come from our own military base right here in the States! The same scientist who then allegedly commits suicide and his wife now blames the U.S. Government.

GET REAL!!! Somehow Al-Queda pulls off some amazing attack that DESTROYS ALL SEVEN World Trade Center Buildings and even manages to hit the PENTAGON which was the key to make it a WAR ISSUE. Then they NEVER hit us ANY other way in almost 10yrs!!

Sorry for the long post but thought I may add some poll numbers.

NY Times and CBS News has taken polls in 2002 and 2006...

In 2006 28% of Americans polled said the Government is mostly LYING about 9/11. This was 350% higher than the 2002 poll taken. Perhaps more and more are waking up from their ignorant bliss?

Also in 2006 the poll showed that 53% of Americans said the Government is hiding something. This means LESS THAN A QUARTER of Americans believe the Governments version of 9/11!!!! Actually ONLY 16% in the poll believe the Government is telling the truth!!!!!!

Americans Question Bush on 9/11 Intelligence: Angus Reid Global Monitor

I personally believe that if it weren't for the fact that most Americans are "bobble head sheeple" with an IQ below 120 the polls would be much higher toward the belief of Government manipulation of 9/11.

Plus equate in the fact that most Americans are too ignorant to research and think for themselves as to what's really going on in the big picture...

Average IQ is between 90-100. 120 is pretty high and not many people are that high...

Every person I personally know who believes some grand conspiracy theory about 9/11 has an IQ below 120.

Every person I personally know with an IQ above 120 believes that the simplest explanation is indeed the correct one (i.e. two big planes hit the buildings and that impact damage + the ensuing fire is what brought them down).

Granted, most of those people that I personally know with IQ's above 120 who believe this crazy "theory" about the airplanes being the causal factor were physics majors that I went to school with while I was a physics major, but what do they know?

They aren't the real monster brains sitting in the parent's basements of America uncovering the secrets about 9/11 one unnerving "detail" at a time.

I hate to be another intellectual, but the same holds true for me, except the only physicist that I know is my dad, but he conveyed the thoughts of most of the guys in his think tank, and they echo the most simple explaination as well...

Most people I know with IQs over 120, and more into the 140+ range think that it was not a conspiracy...

The conspiracy theorists that I know that were intelligent, and some very bright were all liberal extremist hippy wannabes living off of mom and dads money while they did not work, sat around smoking and growing pot and sitting in coffee houses bitching about the USA as an evil entity while thye lived the high life... it was disgusting.

Well, I didn't say I was an intellectual. I only ended up with a degree in psychology because I switched majors.

I didn't mean that I thought I was one... ooops.

Funny, one day this 19 year old woman starts working at this restaurant that I was working at, found out I taught Economics and starting asking me these questions... she then asked what I thought about Keynesian economics. I said, "what are you, a pseudo-intellectual?" while laughing and she looks at me dead pan and says, "I AM an intellectual". I said, "good luck with that then..."

I'm a psuedo-retard. It's so much more chic nowadays.

I concur... wait, that sounded pretentious. I mean, Dude, that's ****ing right.

I've been working very hard on a theory that the 9/11 attacks were not caused by terrorists, or by the government.

No sir, the towers fell and Pentagon was attacked, because people were smoking in an area clearly designated "No Smoking."

I just need to tie super powerful satelitte infared technology, remote control devices on the airplanes(actually the truthers have covered this for me already), and a live stream to aps home computer and my theory will be rock solid.

You sound really close to proving it! Sweet...

Nah, they're allowed to be uppity now that they won the Obama lottery. One of them told me that the other day.

That is good... at least we don't have to hear the white trash using that term anymore.

Most of these with higher IQ's likely have a full schedule with good things going and would not give it a second thought to look into it for themselves, or feel the need to.

So smart people aren't agreeing with you about 9/11 because of scheduling conflicts?

Well, makes about as much sense as anything else you've said, I reckon.

But my schedule is completely open... has been for years. What does that mean?

This arguement is about a moot point as it was for the first 100yrs worth of scientists argueing how the Earth revolved the Sun and got ridiculed and laughed at by the general populus of bobble head sheeple...

Copernicus wasn't ridiculed or laughed at. He was quite respected.

1. You will not be able to change widespread opinion on the issue.
2. If it did occur, this would help nothing, and could not lead to significant changes to prevent it in the future, or to bring the people involved to justice.

These are why it's not good to support it. Whether people let this happen passively, or actively helped it, is entirely irrelevant now. It may be that people with high IQs simply recognize these as facts, and move on. It's not that it couldn't happen, or didn't happen, those are unknowns, and will remain so.

Let's say it did happen in some nefarious way. What is this doing to prevent it again? Nothing. So how can it possibly be a good idea to pursue it? It can't be. While conspiracy theorists examine youtube videos, real, bad, conspirators, are trying to eek as much out of this short mortal life as they can, at any cost, before they die. Trust me if they do exist (and they do), they do enjoy seeing people focus on past events that have no hope of every coming to light.

The difference is, that the evidence and experiments that can vindnicate copernicus existed all during that time, and continue to exist today.

If something so accesible as the earth revolving around the sun takes forever to convince people of, how can you possibly believe something that was a singular event, with very little hard evidence on in relation to a "conspiracy", and much of which could have easly been untraceable (verbal, coded, discussions), ever result in vindication?

9/11 was an event, one can re-observe it, no one can re-test it, and certainly if much of the conspiracy revolved around information transfer, it can and should have been easy to entirely, irrevocably, destroy (for all intents and purposes). Foresnics and testimony can only take you so far.

It can't, and won't, be overturned, is the only point worth noting.
