on april 6th, the attack on iran begins

This coincides with items released by Russian intelligence. The attack, if it happens, will last about 12 hours, and will most likely consist of bombing suspected enrichment facilities. Iran's response, if this happens, will be pretty severe, we will most likely be at war, and oil prices will skyrocket, setting off a global depression not seen since 1929. The minesweepers which are in the area will not help. One quarter of the world's oil will be effectively cut off.

Currently, it just likes the word of a journalist and a general support. The journalists word carries no weight, but a general's does. I doubt that the general has any real information to support his statements, but some of what of he says does correlate with real troop movements. The troop movements can probably shown to be for completely legitimate reasons, but it would be good to get some confirmation from the military.

definately.......but why would the general choose to make this stuff up now?
There have been manuvers before.

Not going to happen. Please check your tinfoil hats at the door.

Rense.com is so notoriously unreliable that I can't understand why anyone would still cite it as their source.

For political reasons and to capitalize on anti-US sentiment. Hopefully this isn't true, another war at this time seems like a terrible idea, especially since we can't stabilize the last country whose military we destroyed. I have no doubt we can absolutely demolish the Iranian military, but will the resulting economic backlash, as well as further angering the Mideast and the world at large.

before remarking on the site that i first stumbled onto after hearing about this, perhaps you should check out some other links, or do a quick google search of:

MY link was not from rense. It was from a Russian newspaper.

Your article also doesn't say we're going to attack Iran on April 6, and its only source is anonymous. Besides, since when is the Russian media a reliable source of information either?

kandahar, i pray to God that you are right, or we will have a bigger mess on our hands then Iraq could ever be.

Wow, Is it just me, or is war not as fun as it used to be?

-I mean back in the 40's we were able to amass the largest invasion force ever conceived by man and trick an entire occuping force with rubber tanks and ships.

-No more now huh? Now, a soldier goes to take a crap and the world knows about it. Thinking about the start of the Iraq war still makes me laugh, seeing those reporters right on the boarder "(Bill get a shot of this) Ladies and Gentlemen, as you can see right now behind me the US and coalition forces have just crossed over into Iraq, and as you can see their formation is such that the enemy could succesfully attack them if they..."

-Apart from giving katie couric an RPG and having her in a ditch on the side of the road waiting for a US humvee to roll by, the media has really screwed over the sense of the word "suprise attack"...In a way I feel they are helping the terrorist (different topic though)

-And dont think for one minute that I actually believe this crap...."The French cannot be trusted!".....neither can the Russians. I still believe that they had their hands in the cookie jar, helping to move crap from Iraq into Syria prior to the war...(but again thats a different topic.)

-But I am happy that the russians confirmed my theory about an attack on Iran and how it will be carried out....I was dead on. White House staff position here I come!

Dude you're like a guy in Russia that hates his government spamming forums with links to foxnews stories.

I'm getting extremely tired of all your questionable links. Desperately using google to find any page you can with keywords you want then posting it as a news story is degrading this forum.

To be fair, someone else brought up the story, he only verified it through a slightly more credible source.

Not "Breaking News." Merely Internet garbage. Moved to "War on Terror" for lack of a better place to put it.

:::- ARAB TIMES -:::
U.S. Probably Attacks Iran till April 2007 - Kommersant Moscow
Daily Times - Leading News Resource of Pakistan
Xinhua - English

this is what a quick google search found.
ITs being publish in kuwait, russian, chinese, and pakistani newspapers. Not just blogs.

The latter three cites all attribute their reporting to an article in your first link, the ARAB TIMES. There appears to be no independent verification or reporting, just a repeat of the story carried by the Arab Times.

This is the stuff that Rense.com is known for....:bs

How do you figure that? Iran itself imports 40% of their refined oil, if we take out their sole refinery and blockade their ports they would be fuc/ked.

ok examples

Jean baudrillard famous left wing philosopher "That we have dreamed of this event, that everyone without exception has dreamed of it, because no one can avoid dreaming of the destruction of any given power that has become hegemonic to such a point, is unacceptable for the Western moral conscience but it is still a fact which is measured precisely by all the pathetic violence of all the words that would erase it. Ultimately, they did it but we asked for it."

The WTC was not just an architectural monstrosity, but also terrible for people who didn't work there, for it said to all those people: 'If you can't work up here, boy, you're out of it.' ... Everything wrong with America led to the point where the country built that tower of Babel, which consequently had to be destroyed. And then came the next shock. We had to realize that the people that did this were brilliant. ... Americans can't admit that you need courage to do such a thing. For that might be misunderstood. The key thing is that we in America are convinced that it was blind, mad fanatics who didn't know what they were doing. But what if those perpetrators were right and we were not?"

Insecure idiocy...

Oh is the attack tomorrow already?? I almost forgot....

That was a pretty crazy 12 hours...when the planes started bombing Tehran I got a little nervous, wondering if the shock and awe would be as powerful as last time in Iraq. Then, when Iran shot down that plane I started to get real nervous, but when the tanks rolled in and rescued the pilot, I relaxed a bit. When they finally pulled Ahmadinejad out of that bunker it put a smile back on my face though, and when Khamenei capitulated, I could finally go to bed happy.

Thank god that's all over with.
