The gop wants to investigate the mistreatment of the 1/6 folks, and that is second only to the all important investigation of the biden crime family and super criminal hunter.

These actions are sure to win the hearts and minds of their base while immediately reminding the majority of americans, do not let the republicans back into power in 24'.

When will the gop learn to help govern with good ideas instead of their never ending politics of division?

I think it is a good idea to oversee possible government overreach and have investigations into possible corrupt politicians.

damn, if the Dems have taught me ANYTHING, it is that last one.

The GOP can go **** themselves three different ways. All this "hurrrr durr we gotta stop inflation, we gotta fix the economy", and then the first thing they jump on is stupid Biden crime family bullshit.

The rank hypocrisy in your post stinks to high heaven.

hey wait, I thought you all said Biden had that taken care of now?

or was it that it wasn't a problem to begin with? hmm I forget.. well, either way....

Do other people speak for me?
ok, ok, fair enough, but a fair amount of progressives are saying those things.

I think there is a distinct possibility there is a Biden Crime family issue, perhaps not world destroying, but still worthy of investigation.

Given that most anything is "possible" that sets the bar incredibly low.
I would think the investigatory capabilities of the house should be focused on things that are probable, and also of national significance.
There is nothing to suggest either of these issues meet either.

It's a given the party on the receiving end of investigations directed by the other side are going to complaint about partisan/political motivations. Rarely if ever does one side basically admit they are motivated by nothing but payback.

This is the dirty side of politics. I see not end to this tit for tat. Both sides needs to stand down.

both issues do not rank "important" to America at all when we are talking about the focus of congress
that being said any general; mistreatment of criminals should be a general concern and any lack of investigation into actual crimes should be a general concern. .in general that isn't for congress to focus on

of course the nutters will love it but honest, educated, objective Americans right left and center will see right through it and what a waste of time it is doing nothing for we the people

GOP congress isn't going to learn until even more normal everyday republicans reject them and that's already started to happen thanks to donnie. People are tired of donnie and other nutter politicians and its showing hence the lack of red wave during the midterms that certainly should have happened based on history and didnt.

Like I just posted in another section. Trump turned the GOP into a MAGA "grievance party". Their mission is to get back at all their perceived foes.

While they are doing this and going on Fox nightly to tell the base the awful things they are finding you can bet they will not do anything legislatively to solve the problems they ran on. American voters won't be fooled. They showed the GOP in the midterms they are fed up with the politics of grievance and want to move forward.

The Republican Party has no incentive to change tactics. The two party system is not going anywhere.

Voters are mercurial and it’s only matter of “when“ the GOP comes back into power even after they lose it. No matter what the Democratic Party does, it will never be enough for the capricious electorate.

Your ilk set the bar that low when they used that "possible" nonsense on Trump for the past six years.

Now the entire thread stinks to high heaven from your rank hypocrisy.

Welp, if they want to maintain control of the house and get their candidate voted in to the WH in 2024, this is not going to be what does it.
So I think they should continue on, with fierce abandon, with their circle firing squad.

Yeah. Poor Trumpy. Those meanies keep calling him out when he breaks the law.

You mean now that the dems are in office the republicans of the house think it's a good idea for oversight, excellent. If only you guys had the same idea when trump was president. Sad.

That is what I like about american politics. Not one mention of the boring stuff like inflation or poverty or crime and the types of policies that the government will implement. But instead a constant stream of backstabbing and lies. It is like watching day time soap operas, but it does not take me all day.

We know, despite their previous claims, that the GQP can no longer say they are the Law and Order Party. It's like they have never seen the video of J6 and think the rest of us haven't either.o_O It's insane! So I'm giving it a 1.

I'm sorry mycroft. I know it must hurt realizing all of that faithful devotion to trump was nothing more than a pipe dream for a con man. Time will help you feel better.

The GOP effort to look into how those who harmed the Capitol on Jan 6th were treated is all for show, something to fuel the far right who seems to be all to accepting of trying to overthrow Congress when an election does not go their way.

It is important for the MAGA Republican faithful, but no one else.

All those people who have been convicted, or are waiting for their cases to be completed, are "patriots" to the likes of McCarthy.

Your use of the word "perceived" is very apropos given the number of imaginary threats the MAGA crowd fears.

The GQP, being handed a short length of rope on Nov 8...is now setting about the business of hanging itself.

LMAO. And I LOVE it. 💯
