Wow you must be really young as they are both younger than me. Jolie is only 46 but Gillian Anderson looks better and better these days. She's done some brilliant drama over here with British TV and she's made her American characters in UK drama really believable.
Usually American stars in a UK drama stick out like a sore-thumb but she made her detective in ITV's "The Fall" extremely vulnerable and believeable. Her Miss Havisham in BBC's "Great Expectations" was really well acted too.
Did these series get shown in the USA?

She doesn't get the acting credit I really think she deserves.

#1. Diane Lane. I remember seeing her first on Lonesome Dove. She’s only 11 years older than I am, and I have always thought she’s fine.

#2. Sally Field. Smokey and the Bandit and Gidget. There’s just something about her that I always found appealing. She played Hanks love interest (Punchline) and mother (Forrest Gump).

#3 Jaclyn Smith. Charlie’s Angels. She was an original Angel; enough said. I always thought she was sexier than Fawcett.

#4 Marilu Henner. Taxi’s Hot Redhead. I don’t know why. Redheads…
