Oklahoma Mom and Her Three Children Dead in Triple Murder-Suicide Following Police Standoff

Looking at the picture of the kids, especially for some reason the girl with glasses, breaks my heart. I can only imagine what the cops went through. Made me think of the line in the great Dylan song, “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?”…

“When will they ever learn?”
Yeah, someone should be trying to pass laws to take guns away.

And I think "Where have all the flowers gone" isn't a Dylan song.

But let him go. He's on a roll.

Right, Pete Seeger. I just assume that songs covered by Peter Paul and Mary are Dylan’s. I was probably thinking of Blowing in the Wind.

You're desperate to prove I supported concentration camps in general.

We have your posts rich. There is nothing to prove.. you support concentration camps in general as the " lesser of two evils".

Go on then, cite the post that supports what you seek to prove.

Again, there's nothing wrong with concentration camps, provided they're well administered

Key word bolded.

So you admit saying there's nothing wrong with concentration camps. No matter how the prisoners are selected, obviously. You know...since the ones you supported had prisoners selected on the basis of their political loyalty or ethnicity.

Police have accused Lindsay Clancy, a 32-year-old labor-and-delivery nurse from Massachusetts, of strangling her three young children last month.

"Preliminarily, it appears the children were strangled," Cruz said during a press conference on Wednesday afternoon. "As soon as able, we will be arraigning her on the two charges of murder in the deaths of her children."

Deputies found Cheng’s car in a parking lot, and several pairs of children’s shoes and the car keys on the shore of the lake. First responders immediately started a search in the water and on land, the news release said.

One of the three children, a 4-year-old, was found in the lake that evening, and his cause of death was determined to be drowning and smothering, according to the medical examiner. Shortly after midnight, search teams found a 5-year-old in the lake, and the news release said the cause of death was drowning.

When investigators resumed the search Saturday, they found the mother’s body, and her cause of death was determined to be suicide by drowning. Several hours later, they found the body of the third child, a 3-year-old; the medical examiner determined the child died by drowning and smothering, the news release said. The sheriff’s office said the children’s deaths were classified as homicides.

The Connecticut mom who was found dead at home this week along with her three kids had strangled the children before taking her own life, police said Thursday. Sonia Loja, 36, was identified by Danbury police as the woman found dead from suspected asphyxia by hanging in a shed behind a single-family home on Whaley Street, where cops responded for a wellbeing check at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The mother of two children who were found dead in a Tempe, Arizona, apartment has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in their deaths, police said Saturday.

Police found a 9-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy dead in the apartment after the children’s mother flagged down an officer about 7 a.m. and told him “she was hearing voices telling her to kill her kids,” Tempe Police Sgt. Steven Carbajal said during a news conference.

The children had “obvious signs of physical trauma,” according to a release from Tempe police.

But.....the guns tho..........

Kinda makes you wonder what kind of an impotent sick demented twisted twat would use children as a prop to promote their pathetic anti-gun crusade.

Refer back to the key word.

Refer back to the key word.

It's included in my signature. It makes no difference to your support of concentration camps.

Provided they're well run - where well run refers to the conditions within them.

Of course all forced detention is bad, just that sometimes it is the lesser of two evils
And in this case it's acceptable, provided they're well run.

Yeah, I should put your claim that they're evil but there's nothing wrong with that in my sig block as well.

There is no defense for your position.
"More than a century after 48 000 people died in concentration camps in what’s known as the South African War between 1899 and 1902 – or the Anglo-Boer War – the events of that period are back in the headlines.

The camps were established by the British as part of their military campaign against two small Afrikaner republics: the ZAR (Transvaal) and the Orange Free State."

Yeah, I should put your claim that they're evil but there's nothing wrong with that in my sig block as well.

Fundamentally all forced detention is, but in some case it's necessary as the less of two evils
When that is the case, there's nothing wrong with them (including concentration camps), provided they're well run

Don't forget that bit will you ?
Also don't forget to put that cars are designed to kill in your sig block.

Once again, concentration camps are evil.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Good position, Rich. Completely self contradictory.

In how many of those cases was "child custody" being fought over?

Open a dictionary.

If you accept some forced detention as necessary as the lesser of two evils, what is wrong with a well run (referring to conditions, not your notion of Nazi "efficiency") concentration camps ?

Yeah no.
Rape doesn't become " acceptable" because you take her out to dinner first and wear a condom.

Just as forced detention of those that have done nothing wrong is not "acceptable "just because the detention center has beds instead of sleeping on the ground.

Why would it ?

People don't need to have done anything wrong to warrant being forcibly detained
eg: a wartime POW camp
British internment camps in the 2nd Boer War
British internment camps at the start of WWII.

Actually the roots of "internment camps" goes back a bit further than the Boer War. They were used extensively in the United States of America prior to that war. Do you know who the people forced into those "internment camps" were?

With just a layman's understanding of police tactics, I would agree. But I'm not an expert on that.
Where they all dead prior to the police breeching the home? It doesn't say. Not to mention that the people who deal with these situations are well trained, there are drs, counselors, psychologist and psychiatrist always involved. I'm sure they knew the probability of a disaster based on what they knew about the woman and her history as well as her behavior at the time. I'm saddened by any unnecessary death and the young children is hearth breaking. Blaming the cops is BS.

I'm not aware of that.
