Ok, so that Clint Eastwood thing didn't work out very well...

I posted this

in an attempt to say I'm some crazy, out of touch, socialist weirdo, Bobcat provides a shining example of the absolutist type of thought found in far too many on the right.

"See", he says, "There are young Republicans!" The problem for the rapidly aging GOP is that many of those Young Republicans are of the Ron Paul school of thought, they often strongly disagree with the mainstream GOP on social issues. Social issues that resonate quite strongly with the vast majority of the Republican Party as shown by the number of top Republicans, including Paul Ryan, who showed up at the Values Voters convention this past week. Also, Young Republicans remain a small minority on college campuses.

A couple of examples of the disconnect that the GOP is fighting

an article from January of this year

Hmmmm, that young Ron Paul supporter would seem to be a problem for the flip-flopping Romney

Gallup polls show consistent support by the young for the President while seniors support Romney

Maybe you missed the guy who spoke after Eastwood and he boasted about his Mormon church and family values. Just thought it odd to have a warm-up speaker before Romney be a comic from a local strip club. but oh well.

When liberals clean up their own camp then they can complain...Until then talk to the hand.

Sure I would. You would be mistaken if you think I don't do that kind of work. You have very inaccurate stereotypes running around in that head of yours.

So if you do the work why are you still not doing as well as you want

Orwell's book is not about liberalism. It is about the oligarchy made up of conservative capitalists.

The word liberal comes from the word "free". Read the dictionary. Rush Limbaugh is not a dictionary, btw.

Who said I wasn't? You make a lot of leaps TD. I'm doing fine. And I've said I would be more than willing to pay more. Do you read what I write?

This is too funny!

With all the righties defending Eastwood's bizarre performance at the RNC -- Even Eastwood calls Republicans "dumb" for inviting him to speak!

Clint Eastwood Calls Republicans 'Dumb' For Letting Him Speak At The Republican National Convention

Clint Eastwood called Republicans "dumb" for letting him speak at the Republican National Convention last month.

In an interview with Extra, the celebrated actor and director tells reporter Jerry Penacoli, "If somebody's dumb enough to ask me to go to a political convention and say something, they're gonna have to take what they get."

Clint's rambles didn't come close to booing God. The dems won the battle of outlandish convention behavior.

Not sure what that has to do with Eastwood calling Republicans, "dumb," but anyway, Democrats did not boo G-d. They booed the passage of a vote that clearly did not meet the 2/3rds required for passage.

Obama lives up to Eastwood's portrayal... except the chair was more effective in rebuttal.

So there Libs... a bit of political history that will stick through the ages... like Reagan's Bear ad... Dukakis as a military Mickey Mouse... Gary Hart with Rice in his throat... the waging finger and the GAP dress...

"Eastwooding" is now the rage with mainstream pundits who see Clint as almost prophetic. Obama is forever tatooed as the 'empty chair' after his dismal Wednesday perfomance. Does a liberal sycophant wanna touch this ?

Eighty Deuce,

There was what... 54-pages of glowing hot pokers being rammed at Romney and Clint with bare hands... because Clint was so effective, and the Lefties thought they had something.

WRONG... the proof being...

NOW... there are a ton of 10-foot poles waiting for the same Lefties to take just a poke at Clint and Romney... but the real Obama... that damned chair reared its wobbly legs in Debate 1.

Ramirez pretty much nailed it... Clint didn't go far enough... he should have had a baby chair with a soother in place of a microphone.
