Employees of the company have given $108,650 to Obama’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee, according to federal records. MF Global’s chairman and chief executive, former New Jersey governor Jon Corzine, has raised at least $500,000 for the campaign and the DNC as a “bundler,” or volunteer fundraiser.
This former democrat governor of NJ and world class idiot just bankrupted a once successful company. It looks like he allowed customer accounts to be raided. He worked the regulatory agencies to avoid passing any rules that would have flagged his activity. He made the actual trades that ruined the company.
As Regulators Pressed Changes, Corzine Pushed Back, and Won - NYTimes.com
And the top of the list of things he has done recently......he is one of BO's MAJOR campaign bundlers and best buddies.
Needless to say the mainstream will do its best to avoid linking this major liberal democrat with BO. Keep in mind this toolbag is the same guy Chris Christie beat to become governor of NJ.

... there is no indication that criminal laws were broken ...
Not surprising, both parties do this. I'm always a bit disappointed in people when they think there's a functional difference between the parties.
As a former United States senator and a former governor of New Jersey, as well as the leader of Goldman Sachs in the 1990s
I wonder if someone would take the time how many times Goldman Sachs is mentioned in articles like this. It's almost a given if you have a current or past government employee that has ever worked at Goldman Sachs you are going to have a financial mess sooner or later.
.other than making a huge bet ... which might still go his way (if the european bailout is effected) ... what did he do that should be found wrong?
this is what i found from the article you cited:
the investors invested
looks like $600+ million might be lost (if the euro bailout does not result)
caveat emptor
if the investors take the risk hoping to seek reward, then they must also be willing to accept the loss that accompanies risk
this assumes, as the article indicates, that no criminal laws were violated
so, get back to us when you have an actual point to make, as i could not find a legitimate one within your post
ok, and he's a guy like you and me. does that 'connection' make us responsible for his personal actions. that makes as much sense as saying he is a democrat causes negative inferences about democrats.
Goodness. The point is this is a typical major player in the democrat party.
wow. they are members of the same party. then by all means castigate our president because someone of the same party oversaw a now bankrupt investment house [/s]The same party lead by a guy that promised to change how business is done in DC.
i have not seen Obama say that he has OWS' back ... please share that cite with usThe same guy that runs around saying he has the OWS back and shares their beliefs (whatever they are)
finally, we have agreement. we should heavily revise our election system so that monetary donations are no longer found as legal bribeswhile taking money from this scumbag.
ok, now you're really just making **** up. but prove me wrong. document for us where Obama has made sure this fellow has had unfettered access to the regulatory agencies in a way that others do notThe same guy that allows this scumbag unfettered access to the regulatory agencies to help them craft laws that allow him to be reckless with other people's money.
no way did dubya extend the taxpayer money to bail out wall street ... ooops, yes, he didThe same guy and the same party that one a daily basis claim the republicans are the shills for banksters and Wall Street......
as was pointed out above, we have the best government money can buy, no matter whether it is republicans or democrats who have been bought in the form of legal bribes we now term 'campaign contributions'. create a thread to discuss such a problem and i will join you. but you are yet to have made a legitimate point in this threadyet here again we have more evidence how much BS that is. BO has taken in more money from Wall Street than any man in history.
i am guessing because they do not view him as big a problem as the unfair playing field the 1% enjoy on wall street. but that's my guess. what is yours? Why aren't the OWS tools protesting at the White House?
