I see you using acasignups.net quite a bit...who exactly runs this site and where are they getting this information? It seems even the govt can't produce such detailed numbers.
Thanks. So he touts himself as a regular guy, a moderate, but at the same time is a poster for DailyKOS, (a totally extremist left site)....I am not saying his numbers are right or wrong, but why should we be relying on just "some guy" from Michigan? Why aren't the agencies releasing their numbers to us? Why have there been some 38 delays to date?
While I appreciate your attempt, and posting of what you are using to form your opinions, I at this point, unless there is something official to back up this guy's claims, it isn't absolute fact....But like I said, at least he is posting what he finds....
I haven't examined everything he's posted, but from what I've seen the #'s he's posted comes from govt reports, media, etc and he posts the links to them so you can see them and decide for yourself.
That ****s funny right there! :lamoStunning new report undermines central GOP Obamacare claim
According to this report, only 10,000 will lose insurance due to ACA.
Yeah, I saw that too, and it will take considerable time, and work to find and verify his conclusions from those numbers, unfortunately as much as I would love to waste the day doing that, right now I have the wife calling me to action on a truck load of mulch.....heh, heh....So, I'll have to do it later....For right now though, the only question I have is if the government is putting out those numbers, then why do they dodge the question when asked specifically? ie; Sebilius saying directly that they don't have those numbers?
It all seems so shady...I don't know. But thanks for giving me the site again.
I've already posted a link to info about the guy who runs the site and you can just click on "Home->FAQ" to see it.
And the various pages explain where the info comes from (ie various govt sources)
That ****s funny right there! :lamo
A democrat report created by democrats has decared those peopel REALLY didnt LOSE 'coverage'...because after all...
According to the report, half of the 4.7 million will have the option to renew their 2013 plans, thanks to an administrative fix this year.
Of the remaining 2.35 million individuals, 1.4 million should be eligible for tax credits through the marketplaces or Medicaid, according to the report.
Of the remaining 950,000 individuals, fewer than 10,000 people in 18 counties will lack access to an affordable catastrophic plan.
EVen though they WERE cancelled...they can graciously get their plans back. Except...they cant because the insurance companies dont offer them anymore (because the ACA makes them liable). Or hey...good news...YES it was cancelled...but you can either go on government assistance or have a tax credit to buy into the ACA (again...those people were ALREADY responsible and insured).
So...according to the democrats....they didnt REALLY have their insurance plans cancelled because after they were cancelled they can get new insurance coverage.
So, hearsay...basically.
Wrong again
Uhm, no. He's just some guy in a basement somewhere. Where's the official reporting from the govt on the real numbers?
Hate to be bearer of bad news but it has already failed.....
Asked and answered
Well, my insurance didn't change and the insurance rates went down for a friend, so if we're using personal anecdotes, Obamacare is a success.
Are you really comparing the first month of an incredibly glitchy website and a website which has mostly been fixed and in use for 6 months?
There's that and more
The simple fact is that people that already HAD insurance and then had their insurance CANCELLED (you know...because they were lied to) were ALREADY RESPONSIBLE ENOUGH TO CARRY INSURANCE. Counting them as part of the 'success story' is beyond dishonest. Claiming that well golly...it doesnt really matter that you ****ed them over because they can get something else...thats just...wow.The question my post responded to concerned the # of people who previously had insurance but would go without insurance in 2014 because of ACA. My link addressed that issue, and not the various distractions you raise

Anytime someone touts some number as a 'success (which is what the current administration is doing and is what the OP is all about) those numbers come into question. The FACT is that the Obama administration lied about people keeping their policies and that when those policies were cancelled, responsible people acted responsibly. Just like they were doing before. Your defense of the situation is equivalent to "Hey...I know I ****ed up your marriage and forced you to get a divorce, but good news...Im your new date!"The simple fact is that there aren't millions of previously insured people who won't have coverage in 2014 and no one said anything about the being a "success story". You just made that up out of thin air.

Reports? What reports? Do you have a link?
Insurance experts have estimated that between 80 to 85 percent of the total tally have paid their first premiums, which is required for people to be officially enrolled.
Obamacare enrollment at 6 million, hits goal: White House
Not only that but the fact that they had to lower the success numbers 3 times to get to that point. there is simply no way they can declare success.
according to the healthcare industry there is only 1/4 or so of the people signed up were previously uninsured the bulk of the people signing up previously had insurance.
20% have not paid their first month premium
This article is more specific: The number for NY QHPs is 59% of QHP enrollees (vs. 90% of Medicaid), and in KY is, surprisingly higher, at 75% for each!
