Worse are those that will play on it that are in Government. Then they will say they needed the money to make response teams, and to set up hot lines, To put out information. All under the guise that it needs to be done, so that protocols and communications are all ready to go. Which for many places that will be the case that it is needed.
Already they were talking about some guy who made a portable transfer tube. One time use......13k. He had designed it for the outbreak of Chem Warfare. Lives somewhere here in Illinois. Hospitals across the globe have been inquiring. He wants to see ambulances with them. That's one time use.....then would be replaced, so the Ambulance doesn't have to be taken out of commission and deconned. Or whatever mode of transportation.
He even donated one to O'Hare Airport.
Which by the way Rahm Emanuel Chicago Mayor......knows how to milk a crisis. So to does Governor Quinn.....who announced yesterday he was creating a Task Force for the State to handle any Ebola issues. Emanuel wants one for Chicago too.

They're never "vacant". We have an acting Surgeon General today, Boris Lushniak. He was named deputy surgeon General in 2010 under Obama's administration and is currently the acting surgeon general...which is precisely one of the main reason the government uses deputee executives, so that there is no lag in the position between official appointments.
Bitching about the surgeon General is like bitching about the directly fought ban...political theater. We have one, in the position due to an appointment by this administration. Either he's competent for the job, in which case all the political posturing is simply using this crisis to bash republicans in a hollow fashion, or he's not competent in which case sure...we need to hurry up and appoint an SG and then we need to see why we had an incompetent deputee appointed.
