Why is it so hard to say:
"Major Hassan, who spent a lot of time, and effort praising, researching and being indoctrinated with the Jihadist Mind Set, decided to wage his own personal Jihad and killed American Soldiers because of this?"
Is it a blind spot in the progressive mind to have to BLAME something related to America's "sins" instead of the obvious answer?
Then I'll judge him on the only cause he presented in that press conference and question why he ignored the only one with evidence to support it.

Fine go for it and jump to conclusions.
spot the irony?
So I take it you completely ignored these comments made by the President:
He didn't because....
and please...focus as hard as you can...
HE DIDN'T WANT TO JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS AND WANTED TO WAIT UNTIL THE INVESTIGATION WAS OVER.
This has been explained to you numerous times but you seem oblivious to this information.
Conclusions supported by facts we know.
I'll take that over blind theory any day :2wave:
And what you keep missing is...
IF HE DIDNT WANT TO JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS HE SHOULD NEVER HAVE SUGGESTED A CAUSE AT ALL
Until you get that, there is nothing more to say.
No one has said that.

Opinions? While it's clear there isn't enough data to make either an informed guess not a politically correct hypothesis, I have created this not to scale diagram to assist you. Hopefully. Read the disclaimer btw.
he did not suggest a cause, he offered possibilities
Yes. We have to understand what "is" is right? Talk about parsing...

That is probably what it will turn out to be. The most any one is saying that I have seen is it is too early to jump to conclusions.
BBC NEWS | Americas | Profile: Major Nidal Malik HasanHe has been described as devout and discreet. A local imam told the Washington Post that he attended daily prayers at a mosque when he worked at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC.
Inside the Gunman's Mosque - The Daily BeastThe young doctor responded. “That’s not a correct interpretation. Jihad means holy war. When your religion isn’t safe, you have to fight for it. If someone attacks you, you must fight them. That is jihad. You can kill someone who is harming you.”
Hasan Reportedly Felt U.S. Attacked Islam - CBS NewsFinnell says he got to know Hasan in an environmental health class. At the end of the class, students gave presentations. Finnell says other classmates wrote on subjects such as dry cleaning chemicals and mold in homes, but Hasan's topic was whether the war against terror was "a war against Islam." Finnell described Hasan as a "vociferous opponent" of the terror war.
Finnell says Hasan told classmates he was "a Muslim first and an American second."
He offered, just in the short clip you linked, two possible causes(stress and a conspiracy). This is not me trying to find a possible way to take his words wrong, it's you.
Yeah because that's totally the same.
No, it's not! Follow along please:
Major Hasan was a devout Muslim.

Major Hasan believed it was right for Muslims, no their duty to kill Americans

Major Hasan felt the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were wars on Islam. And that he was a muslim first, American second.

Those dots are quite clear. And only the willingly blind refuse to see this is what drove him, not PTSD or any other pyscobabble.
Do you understand there is a mountain of evidence supporting this guy was only interested in Jihad and no evidence that it was stress? Can you acknowledge that?
I'm also aware there are 4,000 Muslims in the armed forces. Why did just this guy go on a rampage? I had read he was about to be deployed to the Middle East. You don't think putting him in the position of having to potentially kill innocent Muslims could present stress?
Does this excuse what he did? Hell no! But then no one has said there should be leniency.

This is why I hate Wall Street speculators. Because regardless of what info we THINK we have, if we speculate wrong, then the ****storm is only going to harder and faster. Not saying that anyone in this thread is necessarily wrong, but we sure are doing a lot of speculating for one side or the other...

Was he a part of a bigger conspiracy? Want to take the chance he wasn't? I will wait for the investigation to be done before I jump to my conclusions.
