That is not vey lucid on your part. And we are talking about the same chain smoking Ayn Rand who spoke of smoking and Social Security and then wound up taking advantage of Social Security when she was dying of lung cancer due to smoking.
With the accompanying refusal to negotiate... all your demands met first...only then we negotiate...It's not that far fetched. We've had partial government shutdowns in the past.
i question anyone who thinks altruism is a economic sin.
Ayn Rand readers legitimately believe the world will be a better place once everybody is an asshole.
And then lecture the rest of us about the goodness of their act. In fact, they've given nothing - nothing at all. Further, such acts are devoid of compassion, and are empty offerings meant to assuage the feelings of the guilty.nothing is worse than those who take credit for charity they have forced out of others.
the dems pander to the needy by making others foot the bill
You need to read her works again.
You and she seem to define the people who fit that category entirely differently.
For her, those who take what is not earned fit that definition and for you, those who work to earn what they feel they need fit that definition.
Why do you think thieves are good and workers are bad?
Why the bullet points? I don't get it.1. According to one poll; every single other poll has him between 42 and 48.

2. So what.
Just in case any of you are wondering who is actually responsible for the continuing on-going Govt. shut down, it's the guy who was offered literally everything he wanted, but for a shorter time, with the request that he pretty-please be willing to negotiate in the meantime on something - anything, and still said no ; because he thinks that the longer more people are in pain, the better off he does politically.
There you have it. The next time anyone in the Administration complains about the shutdown or coming debt limit, remind them that they value it less than the opportunity to perhaps divide some of their political opposition.
No, it is the far right antics that is killing it.
Why do you love murderers?

Yeah, they offered to raise the debt limit, but not to open the government. The GOP are children.

The Dems are tyrannts. They shut down the government to protect a bill that most Americans oppose.
Why do you love murderers?
Maybe they will care that Senate Dems had bills that reopened the government but chose to do nothing with them because of their unwillingness to do anything regarding the disaster that is Obamacare.
Everybody now knows we cannot keep spending, the polls show the we, the American public, are aware :ssst:
Yeah, but the polls also show that the American public wants the government to reopen and blames the republicans for closing it. Go figure.

Both parties seem to be seen as such. Both parties has had a lose of people who identify/associate themselves with the two major parties. Both have taken hits but the Republicans more so. If you looked at the figures at election time last year, November of 2012 30% of the electorate identified themselves as Republicans, 35% as Democrats and 33% as independent. Today or at least as of October 5, 2013 those figures were 20% for Republicans 30% for Democrats and 47% for independents.
The Democrats wouldn't care if their number shrunk to 10% as long as the republican number was lower. In the two party system we have, it doesn't matter if 70% think your scum as long as 80% think the other party or candidate is a worst scum. Those who dislike, detest, hate if you will both parties have no choice but to vote for one or the others, even if they think both are evil and very incompetent. Then it becomes the lesser of two evils. Let's face, as of this moment, these folks think the Republicans are the most evil and the Democrats the lesser of the two evil parties. That suits the Democrats just fine and they have no incentive what so ever to compromise or put an end to what was a Republican started shut down.
The folks in the TEA Party today would generally endorse the positions of John Kennedy.
The TEA Party is the party of most Americans today.
