Dude you're on fire this morning. ANOTHER good analyses, the plot thickens.
EDIT: I just started a post with "dude" I better go take my morning mt bike ride, I must need fresh air!
America won't bomb Syria, Obama will. It almost seems like you are trying to give him cover on this, not his fault again.
And you are OK with that? Isn't America a democracy, not a monarchy? What happened to "we the people"?
No. America was founded as a democratic republic. Not a democracy. Slowly we've devolved to a soft despotism that represents a democracy.
A republic is a form of government in which affairs of state are a "public matter" (Latin: res publica), not the private concern of the rulers, in which public offices are subsequently appointed or elected rather than privately accommodated, i.e. through inheritance or divine mandate. In modern times, the common definition of a republic is a government which excludes a monarch.

A republic is supposed to be just the opposite of a monarchy.
First Obama declares a red line in Syria. Then Syria launches a very small chemical attack to test him and Obama ignores it. When they saw Obama was bluffing they launched this recent attack that may have killed thousands and Obama says that's it, here I come. He looks for support from NATO and gets the cold shoulder so he looks to the UK and they say , not interested. Obama then rattles his saber and says he can and will do it alone and Kerry comes along and gives the impression the missiles are just about on the way. Then Obama says never mind, I think I'll take this to congress when they get back from recess, no worry, no hurry. Now the pro gov forces in Syria are dancing in the streets and Iran is ramping up its nuke program and laughing at America, nice work Obama.
You're referring to Al Qaeda, of course. And no, Obama isn't a cowboy. They don't make hats that small for adults, anyway. Its refreshing to see a President that isn't a cowboy and understands the proper steps that should be taken. We know what happened the last time a couple of people decided to go attack a country....we are still paying for that one today.
Presidents can be wrong sometimes, you know.Give the man a chance.

LOL....we already had one President who called himself "The decider" who didn't understand the role of the President. .
At least that President was able to make decisions when they needed to be made.
LOL....a fool who makes dumb decisions drags everybody else down with them. The "deciders" decisions led to hundreds of thousands of lost lives, Billions of dollars spent and drove our country to the brink of economic and moral bankruptcy. Sorry....but just because someone talks tough, dons a cowboy hat and labels themselves the "war President" and "The decider" doesn't make them intelligent.
BTW...was that what he was doing for 12 minutes while our country was under attack...sitting on his ass in a grade school classroom reading "My pet goat"....oh yeah...."Decidin".
I don't think any red line has been crossed. The USA proof that Assad used gas is zilch. There is lots of proof that it was the rebels that used the gas. The war hawks and military/industrial/corporate complex and big energy will push and push Congress and Obama to get their war, but perhaps Obama feels sumpin' slippin', like being misled by his trusted intelligence services. The rebels have big budgets from their Saudi sponsors.First Obama declares a red line in Syria. Then Syria launches a very small chemical attack to test him and Obama ignores it. I don't know why you people care about what other countries think of us anyway. That's the problem. All of you guys on here that are worried about what other countries think of us need to remember the lesson your Mommy's taught you. Remember, the whole "walk away unless they hit you" lesson? China is the only country in the world right now that would have even a long shot of hanging with us in a war. The rest of them, despite the posturing and bloviation, know that we would smoke them in a hot minute if we wanted to. There's no doubt in anyone's mind that we have the most technologically advanced and well trained military in the world. On the other hand, most of you on this thread love to volunteer guys like me to go over show these lowly Middle East countries who's boss. If you are so worried about it, strap some boots on and pick up a rifle. If not, shut up and color. Let the grown ups worry about the wars. Go worry about staying employed, the next local election, etc. There are far more important things facing our country right now that what Syria or any other dirt poor Arab nation thinks of us.
He only said that he didn't NEED congress's approval. He didn't say, as far as I know, that he would attack without approval or that he wouldn't attempt to get approval.First Obama said he didn't need congress, it's only after he couldn't get the support from Europe that he wanted and expected that he went running to congress for cover.
For someone who thinks that the capital of the third world (Los Angeles) is a world class city, do I have to say any more ?

Nothing makes a leader look weaker than when people on discussion forums have to parse words and seek hidden meanings and different interpretations on that leader's behalf. It gives the impression that he is so weak he can't even clearly state what he means.
