The WH's inner circle must be the most shortsighted collection of incompetents ever assembled. Seize on an opportunity to diffuse a major scandal in the news cycle by.....creating another major scandal. Stuff is just baffling.
It's called incompetence.
There's no excuse for Obama being given a second chance back in November of 2012. It was no secret by April of 2009 that the job of POTUS was larger than Obama could handle.
How's all that 'hope & change' workin out for ya?Obama admin. told wary military officials to ‘suck it up and salute’ on Taliban release:
Only comment is, who's surprised ? Even former Sec. of Defense Gates in his book says that the Obama administration refuses to listen to the military.
Obama and those with in his incompetent administration hate the military and Barack Obama is a national security risk.
>" The Obama administration sent a message for years to wary military and intelligence officials who believed the release of the Taliban Five would come back to haunt the U.S.: ‘Suck it up and salute.’
Mullah Mohammad Fazl, Mullah Norullah Noori, Abdul Haq Wasiq, Khairullah Khairkhwa and Mohammed Nabi Omari were all deemed in 2008 to be at “high risk” for returning to the battlefield if released, but that did not stop the White House from releasing them in exchange for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl over the weekend.
“Officials in the Pentagon and intelligence communities had successfully fought off release of the five men in the past,” Time reported Tuesday. “This [sudden release] was out of the norm,” he continued. “There was never [a] conversation.”
“Obama’s move was an ultimate victory for those at the White House and the State Department who had previously argued the military should ‘suck it up and salute,’ says the official familiar with the debate,” reported Time..."<

They should suck it up and salute. Sorry, but the President is the Commander in Chief. Their job is to listen to his orders.
The job of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is not to obey the Incompetent Commander in Chief but to advise him.
But Obama don't trust the military and ignores them.
Well, that what Secretary of Defense Robert Gates said.
Advise, sure. However, when the decision is made...he's their commander. Chain of command.
And he is doing more damage to re enlistment than any other in recent memory. And that's saying a lot.

Yea there is, the other guy sucked.

He didn't suck this bad. Hell, no president as sucked this bad.
Until he issues an un-lawful order, or violates the chain of command.

Chain of command??? Is not the president the big cheese in charge? I am pretty sure the chain of command is his do with as he sees fit, to use or ignore at his pleasure. Everyone under his command serves at his pleasure, to be removed and replaced at will.
The chain of command goes down, the same way it goes up.
Let's say you're a division commander and the the president detailed one of your subordinate elements out to a mission, without your knowledge, that would be a violation of your command authority.
If I am gona be screwed I prefer the genuine article thank you. Romney was democrat light. No point in changing. This way we go down faster.
Is that not the presidents prerogative?
