Obama ‘setting the stage for something very dangerous in the future’

>" Obama is creating a world where the President of the United States can ignore requests from Congress at will, nullify the law of the land by refusing to enforce it, use neutral government agencies like the IRS against his enemies and unilaterally change the law in any way he likes and he has the wholehearted support of the entire Democrat party in doing all of those things. Granted, they wouldn’t support a Republican in the same situation, but once the precedent is set, that becomes irrelevant. If Obama does those things, future Presidents, including Republicans, may very well decide to use his precedent going forward. Put plainly, it’s dangerous for our Republic to have a President as lawless as Obama..."<

The bolded part makes the entire effort by prisonplanet null and void, because Obama hasn't done anything listed in the OPs quote. Furthermore, Nixon did, and we don't see that it continued from there.

I guess you haven't been keeping up with the news...or maybe your bias lets you ignore events:

1. ignore requests from Congress at will - Obama and his people have ignored numerous requests from Congress for information, documents, emails, etc. Just ask Issa about that.

2. nullify the law of the land by refusing to enforce it - Remember DOMA? How about immigration laws?

3. use neutral government agencies like the IRS against his enemies - Surely you've heard about the IRS scandals? Heck, Obama people lost their jobs over that one.

4. unilaterally change the law in any way he likes - Let's see...he's changed Obamacare at least 14 times...and that's just one law.

Lions and tigers and bears, Oh my!

Everything you list is either proven false, or has been the standard way of governing by many presidents across many decades. IE there is no "there" there except in the addled minds of angry, old, white men.

To deny that Obama selectively enforces the "laws of the land" is ridiculous. Where did a "dreamy" immigration law come from? Before you go into frenzy, I am not saying that only Obama has done this but he has taken it to "unprecedented" levels which stretch the limits (if any actually exist) of this practice.

Lets see, Obama has ignored the Constitution and wrote his own immigration laws. Has ordered U.S. Border Patrol agents on the border not to enforce our immigration laws.

He has violated the ACA (Obamacare) and granted extensions, and exemptions that only Congress is allowed to do.

He has allowed the U.S. military to become a hollow force.

His Department of Justice has refused to enforce the laws of the land.

Obama's IRS has targeted political enemies of the President. Nixon just talked about doing what Obama has already done and was forced to resign.

While ordering Park Police during the government shutdown to keep veterans from visiting our war memorials ordered Park Police to allow illegal aliens access to the closed Capitol Mall so they could demand amnesty, citizenship and free stuff.

Obama spent a $100 million dollars of the tax payers money on a family vacation in Africa.

Obama ignored the War Powers Act and used the U.S. military to conduct an illegal war in Libya.

Obama has completely ignored what parts of the Constitution that he doesn't like.

It's the job of Congress to write the laws and the job of the Executive branch to enforce those laws. Obama only enforces what federal laws he wants to.

Obama has lied to the American people to get re-elected. Be it saying that "Al Qaeda is being decimated" and "was on the run" when the truth was the complete opposite. To not doing a damn thing when Americans were fighting for their lives in Benghazi and then lies to the American people blaming it on a You Tube video to help get himself re-elected.

BTW: Don't you know how to read a website ? Prison Planet was only providing a link to the original source of the article. Kinda like when the N.Y. Times quotes the AP.

shrug...

All those things I've stated are fact. And, even if it's been done by many Presidents in the past...it still isn't right. It still isn't any less dangerous.

Your Obama apologies show just how much you are in the tank for him...you will excuse ANY behavior from him.

I'm no Obama fan--I consider him a traitor and domestic enemy of the Constitution--but really, similar things were said about Bush.

The irony is that the charges against Bush & Obama are genuine, but the point is that nothing is going to be done. The Dems in the person of Nancy Pelosi halted the impeachment efforts against Bush, and at the moment nobody is talking about impeach Barack.

I like Alex Jones fine, but this seems like a bit of fear mongering.

Happy Holidays to all. :2wave:
