The harm of not doing anything should be compared to the economic harm of trying to fix a problem that is not really a problem!
They can't possibly KNOW that. Nor can anyone else. Hypotheses and predictions can, of course be made, and a few may actually prove true.
Sure they do, these guys are magic! They don't know what the temperature of the earth is today within plus or minus a half degree C, and they have no clear idea exactly what the temps were a hundred years ago. Yet, they're sure that right now the earth is precisely 0.8°C ±0.1°C hotter today than it was exactly 100 years ago. They can't possibly KNOW that...

Your title wasn't really representative of the article. Here is the actual title:
Breaking News: Climate change could slash the size of America's economy by 10 percent by 2100 unless major action is taken, a federal government report says.
One need look no further than California's wildfires to see what devastation we can expect. When cities start burning down to the ground, a 10% effect to the economy will calculate out very quickly.
Please explain how cities will burn to the ground by wildfires caused by a small climate change.
This should be good... hehe...
A picture is worth a thousand words... Fact - cities burned to the ground.

Fact 2: Average temperature rises in the Western US are 2 deg C, unlike the worldwide 1 deg C. Hotter drier days, and this extends the hot, dry wildfire season.
Stop hiding your head in the sand...
Nothing to do with climate change.

Yes, the failing NYT paint it with an alarmist tone because of their bias, but it's actually good news. As our GDP is predicted to go up 300% in that time, global warming would put a 10% dent into that meaning we'd go up 290%. If that's all that happens to our economy then that's good news, wouldn't you agree?
Besides. A suburban area is not "cities."
For the umpteen millionth time "WORDS HAVE MEANING!!!"
That's not the way it works. The 10% totally negates any advances.
They all cost money to rebuild. Lots of money...
The way it works is that the claim is BS.
Says the non-scientist who gets his news from a High Schooler.
Do you have an argument that is not an ad hominem?
Interesting that you call my post Ad-Hominem, when you direct all your attacks on Scientists, without even understanding the science
I do not attack scientists. I sometimes criticize their work.
If you don't understand it, then it's a political attack.
