Business owners whine about no one taking entry level jobs but there are thousands willing to do them if allowed to get subsidized housing out of the inner city.

Yes, many people (including me) agree that Mr. Floyd was hardly an exemplar of a model citizen abused by a sadistic cop.

But we have to realize that all the ingredients were in play for Mr. Floyd's death to be taken up as a crusade against sadistic cops:

1. The method of putting a knee on Mr. Floyd's neck shocked and sickened many people.

Which has never killed anyone before. One important fact about Chauvin's knee is the fact that he wasn't applying pressure for the majority of the time. Many times you can see Chauvin's knee either release pressure or not even touching Floyd.

2. The cop had many complaints on his record.

How many of those complaints were legit? How many were over exaggerations? That's important to know.

3. There were other cops there who did not stop their colleague.

Those other cops also saw, like we all did, of Floyd lying about not being able to breathe in the cop car. And we seen him breathing for most of the time he was on the ground. Watching his chest rise is one thing. But more importantly, was watching Chauvin release pressure from his knee and Floyds neck.

4. There were pedestrians who took video of the incident.

Am glad to see it. Because this proves that Chauvin was NOT trying to kill Floyd.

5. Last year was very political and there was much ill-will against President Trump, who was painted by the Dems and the media as a "racist."

The dems went over board with their witch hunt on Trump. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Trump supporter, by any stretch. But, most of the things they were attacking Trump for, was just BS. Calling him a racist was just one of them.

In short, BLM chose the right incident to mount a protest, and we all know how successful their campaign was.

Mr. Floyd is now considered a martyr by many people, including the current Speaker of the House.

And, I believe, there is a push to even have a holiday in his honor.

So a non violent black person, with no criminal record would've been a worse candidate to be a martyr? How so? Floyd was, IMO, THE worst. He was a big time druggy thief, with a criminal record of beating a woman who he was robbing at gun point. And was still breaking the law. Forcing the cops to arrest him. Remember, it was the business owner that called the cops. They were out profiling blacks. They were called there.

The speaker of the house needs to go. Why the democrats don't get a younger, less corrupt speaker is beyond me. Seems they would've learned from Obama, that the younger generation is needed. Because the younger generation has new and improved ways of doing things. Obviously Obama was a lot better president than Biden is. I think it's because, at least in part, because Obama is younger and better in tuned to younger generations.

It's called housing subsidies, many whites get them outside of the inner city, seems an issue when talking about minorities receiving the same consideration. Like I said tRump tried to lure white housewives to his side by telling them he was protecting them from such a migration....

More like bias toward minority criminals. Whites are far more likely to get lesser sentences, pre-trial release, more probation rather than jail time. So it's bias toward minorities... studies don't 'like'...

Sure, no one has to watch it. But having the actual numbers only proves or disproves what's being spewed. It exposes the lies to those who are pushing this false narrative. And that's important. Because if you're basing any argument on false or misleading information, then you're only making it worse.

This is why I think BLM should've used a better martyr for their protests, than people like George Floyd. Because protesting the killing of innocent blacks where killed just for being black, their message would carry a lot more weight. But instead, they choose people who were not only breaking the law. But were also violent (according to their police/prison record)

Once incidence that I'll never forget: I hired 8 guys from a local temp service. All but one were black. All of the 8 except 2 just stood around and had to be told how to do something that's I'd already explained a few times. Many times, I'd look up and they were just standing around. By noon, only 2 remained. And it was easy physical labor. No heavy lifting. Nothing to really break a sweat over.
The last guy I hired, a white guy, was fired within a week for drugs.
Getting a younger person (35 and under) to actually do some work now a days is incredibly frustrating. And that has nothing to do with race. Lazy people are becoming the norm.

Yup. He was convicted. And I'm not going to lose any sleep over it because Chauvin didn't perform CPR when Floyd stopped breathing. Regardless of how close the ambulance was, he still didn't try.
And neither did the medics when they arrived. 2 minutes passed from the time they pulled up, to the time they pulled away. And they didn't start CPR for another 3 blocks. So they're just as guilty as Chauvin.
But to say he intentionally murdered Floyd, that's a farce. One used to keep cities from being burned, innocent people from being killed and injured and private property from being destroyed.

I own my own business, the best workers were girls and black folks. White guys did more goofing and trying to hit on the girls than work. I work part-time in a major retail outlet. Blacks work just as hard as anyone else....

I'm looking for equality. What I gain is also equality.

The information in the OP, might be useful to some. In fact, I was pretty shocked to learn just how few blacks being killed by cops there were, until I seen the numbers myself. Then add in the amount of people who were armed when shot by the cops, was also quite a shock.
Two years ago, I was very anti cop. But the more research you do on cops, you can't help but run into information that shines a factual light on cops jobs. So all this did was prove two things.
1. There's still too many bad cops.
2. Even the bad cops have a tough job. So tough that it leads some cops to be bad.

On the issue of blacks and police, this is something that you also learn when researching this, with an open mind. The fact that a lot more whites are killed by cops, than blacks, the fact that more blacks are armed with a gun when shot by cops, are all still facts that the left and BLM don't tell their supporters or viewers.
This is the misinformation that needs to be exposed. Regardless if you want to know the truth or not.
