Seriously, you want him to prove the poor are fatter, have more cell phones and large-screen tvs than they used to?!
I suspect a serious self-righteously-induced departure from reality.
Parasites never go away, they simply adapt to the situation.Like I said before keep denying it exists and im sure it will all go away.

No, rather biology and sociology over millenniums.something Wall Street demonstrated to us over the past 4 years

Yes. A poor diet and living in a community which does not lend itself to getting outdoors much will indeed help make one fat. My kids tell me that cell phones are part of life today and you cannot be without one. So why would this be different for all people? Big screen TV's - yes, I imagine people do buy them.
And all this means what exactly?
They didn't have that problem 30 years ago. It's not where they live, but that they are eating too much.
or its that the food industry has completley changed changed over the last 30 years
Doubtful. Peoples' habits have changed.
lol are you serious? Ever heard of corn syrup?
Ummm, yes. I grew up on it. It's nothing new on the scene.

its an opinion piece....
I refuse to regard anyone as impoverished who has never truly known starvation.
I refuse to regard anyone with a computer, smart phone, ipod, or car as impoverished. Did you just buy your son $160 Michael Jordans? Then I don't care about you.
No, the Heritage foundation publishes the raw hard data this piece is based on. Wanna try for a strike 3?
yes but it wasn't in everything. Look if your going to sit here and claim that the food industry is not responsible for making America fat then your high.
This made me chuckle. Lizzie sounds like one of those people who doesn't get out much. I'm willing to bet that like a large percentage of the population she probably has a weight problem herself. Maybe a few pounds overweight. However she'd never think that it's because the food she's eating is actually made unhealthily but it's what she's eating. As if all the gross stuff they pump into what Wal-Mart passes as "produce" is somehow healthy for you. The reality is that the majority of Americans really have no clue about what good food is. They can't buy local because it's expensive. So they go to their local big box grocers and think that eating a banana sprayed with a bunch of chemicals is somehow healthier than a box of cereal filled with HFCS.
No, the food industry is not responsible for making America fat. Americans are responsible for making America fat. Corn syrup doesn't make you gain weight, unless you're consuming too many calories, but the same is true of any type of sugar.
lol food industries are not responsible? You realise that its a global pandemic and you think thats because people are making bad choices? Cant have anything to do with the stuff there putting in the foods, the cornors they are cutting (pink slime), the intense advertsing telling people to eat there product 24/7 because its healthy, the sheer convenience of fast food and the cute little toys they give the kids after they have scoffed down a nice burger and fries.
Nah your right their hands are clean.

Yes, their hands are clean. You and I decide what to put into our mouths. If you don't want anything artificial, then don't eat it. If you don't want to be fat, then cut back on your calories and increase your energy output. If you don't want your kids eating hamburgers and fries, then don't give it to them.
kind of missng the whole point! Majority of poor people are uneducated and are not aware of what is being put into the food they eat! When they hear on the TV that a Big Mac is healthy they have no reason to doubt that.
