Fairfax, VA – The National Rifle Association of America (“NRA”) today announced it will restructure the Association as a Texas nonprofit to exit what it believes is a corrupt political and regulatory environment in New York. The move will enable long-term, sustainable growth and ensure the NRA’s continued success as the nation’s leading advocate for constitutional freedom – free from the toxic political environment of New York.

The NRA plan, which involves utilizing the protection of the bankruptcy court, has the Association dumping New York and organizing its legal and regulatory matters in an efficient forum. The move comes at a time when the NRA is in its strongest financial condition in years.

We need to come up with a good name for what conservativism really is: guns are their societal solution. Rifleism?

Strongest financial condition in years? I don't think so.

Well, their president took the money donated to it and used it on private jets to the Bahamas , enormous hotel stays, lavish meals, etc...

Don't they have Russian funding? Can't they just ask Putin for more money?

I haven't been a member for years now. Used to be when I competed in F-Class at their matches.

Suddenly I have been getting mail from them wanting me to join, and get cheap 'gifts'. I'd say they are a tad desperate...

They used to promote education programs, matches, range improvements- now they promote 'gun' makers, lavish lifestyles and K Street lobbyists, strange days indeed, most unusual mama... ✌

Considering Wayne LaPierre and his wife's expensive tastes is anyone surprised?
