We just had the greatest mass death even in the history of our country. 600k Americans dead may not mean anything to a modern day Republican, but most adults understand that you don’t just flip a switch on something like this. IT’s totally logical and reasonable to proceed with caution and as we move along make new decisions, which is exactly what’s been happening.

I was a tiny bit bummed when CA announced its masking rules won’t be shed until June 15 but then I thought about it for a moment and realized this is smart. Give busineses, communites, CITIZENS, some time to to process, accumulate new habits, then we move into that phase. Then by fall, god willing, there aren’t any restrictions because covid is a memory.

This stuff isn’t controversial, out of the ordinary, or wrong. Republicans just want to fight to the death over anything and everything now since losing the election.

I don’t think he flip flopped. I think he acted on new information. Maybe people can debate how slow or fast he acted, but whatever. The reality is that the CDC told us we all had to wear masks so we did it. Now the CDC is saying a lot of us don’t have to anymore but people seem reluctant to listen to them now. So why in Nancy not following the science on this one? The CDC says to put a mask on and it’s like “thank you sir may I have another” but then they say you can take it off and the fear takes over so the CDC is ignored.
