All individuals living in the State of California are currently ordered to stay home or at their place of residence, except for permitted work, local shopping or other permitted errands, or as otherwise authorized (including in the Questions and answers below).

So they were never locked in their homes.
 
If a year ago the Government would have trampled everyones right and forced lockdowns, closures, quarantines, masks, distancing, travel bans, and basically treated people like sick cattle, we could have stopped this virus from spreading in a month back in March.

What price, freedom....

You present the possibility that dissidents might engage in civil disobedience as evidence to support a claim that the overreaching, unreasonable constraints mandated by government are not constrictive.

I hope that your presentation here is only a debating technique and not an actually a representation of some deeply ingrained inability to see reality.

They closed gyms, playgrounds, parks, beaches and hiking trails here in California, originally. Granted they’ve backed off and allowed outdoor exercise. We’ve been through so many permutations of which physical activities are allowed and which are not it sometimes gets confusing. Add to that the rules apply seperately to each of our 58 counties.

They did here in California. Every level of government is dominated by Dems. They seem to shuffled the deck about every other month or so.

So you are suggesting that Covid spontaneously generates in the home?

Or is it just marginally possible that people get it elsewhere and then infect their entire household?

We had, total shutdown, shutdown with pickup/delivery food, shutdown with outdoor dining, shutdown with indoor dining, but bars, breweries and wineries, closed. Accompanied with permutations of closures of gyms, retail shops, hair and nail salons and barbershops (both outside only and indoor. Just off the top of my head. Probably a few I forgot.

We have had zero total shut downs. Zero.
 
Studies show that numbers go down when people stay at home and kids don't go to school. The tragedy is visited upon us by a president who was too incompetent and self-centered to do anything about it, and sowed mistrust and confusion about it from day one. He and his supporters have always preached that people dying for the sake of the economy, and thus, for his re-election, was the prefered way to go. It never occurred to them that with competent leadership, we might have kept deaths down, fought the pandemic and kept the economy open. He might have won in a landslide if he could have put one foot in front of the other.
 
I still want to know the mechanism by which people staying at home spreads the virus faster.

I mean, is it just magically appearing? Is Baby Jesus cursing people for being shut ins? What?
