Notice How Nobody In MAGA World Is Apologizing For How Horribly Senator Padilla Was Treated?

It was justified.
Not in the slightest. It just makes you feel good to see a Democratic Senator get assaulted for no reason.

And intentionally wasn't presenting any identifying credentials to cultivate the issue.
He presented credentials when he entered the building.....like all Federal employees do. Anyone at that press conference who thought that Padilla was some kind of "threat" inside a Federal building is just full of shit.

So why did the FBI stop him?

What Noem said that triggered the Senator is alarming. The plan in LA is a coup in California. They aim to take over the State. The Federal Government has declared war on the People of California. They are starting a Civil War out in the open.

"The Department of Homeland Security and the officers and the agencies and the departments and the military people that are working on this operation will continue to sustain and increase our operations in this city, We are not going away. We are staying here to liberate the city from the socialist and the burdensome leadership that this governor and that this mayor have placed on this country."

It's an obvious power grab. If Trump can permanently keep troops in CA, when it's obvious the vast majority of Californians are against this, then he truly is a king.

Good.

To be fair, he was asking a question.

Nice.

My answer is "not until this thread pointed it out" coupled with; "who really cares? did you expect something else?"

It looked like Padilla was grandstanding, and thought he'd get away with it because he was confronting a woman. He probably thought she'd be intimidated into giving him undeserved attention. But she wasn't. She just continued, unruffled. Lol. Impressive. Most people, male or female, would have been a little flustered or alarmed. She wasn't. Good for her!!

"And, yet, what’s even more significant than authorities detaining a U.S. senator for asking a Cabinet secretary a question at a news conference is Noem’s ominous remark immediately prior to Padilla’s interruption.

“We are not going away,” she warned. “We are staying here to liberate the city from the socialists and the burdensome leadership that this governor and that this mayor have placed on this country and what they have tried to insert into the city.”
. . . and it is this political rhetoric from the Sec which has so inflamed you and others?

To the point where you are denying that SS took appropriate action to control the approach of an uninvited, unannounced, unexpected, unidentified, approaching the podium shouting and agitating.
Is it any wonder that the SS agents assigned to protect the Sec. took him down and controlled the situation?
Its kind what they are charged with doing on behalf of their protectee.

I think Your cover story is that he was being violently aggressive so that you can justify in your mind that Padilla deserved the treatment he got.
This I think a fair and reasonable response form the SS given that the Sec. has had death threats against her and her family.
Maybe those threats shouldn't been made?

You think Trump and the Jan 6 traitors are above the law. That is why you continue to enthusiastically support Trump after he tries to execute his own vice president.

Instead, you would rather whine about a Senator asking a question at a press conference. Pretty ****ed-up, to say the least.

He was trying to forcefully interrupt the press conference instead waiting until after she was done speaking and asked for questions. He was asked to leave as should have been done. Then instead of following the directive of security he decided that the rules do not apply to him. When being escorted out he chose to fight with security instead of following their directives. The bully was not allowed to bully this time. It is about time the bully got shown that their bullying actions will not be tolerated. If he cannot conduct himself in an orderly fashion he should be removed and no longer allowed at them. Great job in my opinion.

Kudos to the officers for their professionalism.

Padilla should absolutely spend time in jail for that.
I don't think jail is warranted. Padilla didn't actually assault the security just forced them to remove a bully which is what they are in place for. I think security did a great job removing Padilla and showing exceptional restraint dealing with a bully. Padilla was shown that his bullying was not going to be tolerated. A job well done. I think bullies like Padilla should be removed and no long allowed at such events if they cannot conduct them selves in an orderly fashion. What a shame.

Your response is a weak attempt to justify the unjustifiable. All videos clearly show Padilla was not "rushing the podium" and also clearly identified himself.

Death threats should never be made. Who are you suggesting made them? Maybe toning down the rhetoric, starting at the top of the MAGA heap would be helpful.
