What's so funny about Sondland's released opening statement is he claims to have no idea until September that there was a Biden/Burisma connection.

Here's one text to Sondland with a proposed public statement by Ukraine:

Kurt Volker: Special attention should be paid to the
problem of interference in the political processes of the United States especially
with the alleged involvement of some Ukrainian politicians. I want to declare that
this is unacceptable. We intend to initiate and complete a transparent and
unbiased investigation of all available facts and episodes, including those
involving Burisma and the 2016 US. elections, which in turn will prevent the
recurrence of this problem in the future.

Sondland, incredibly, asks us to believe that in a statement involving TWO major deliverables that he's blissfully unaware that one of them is closely tied to the Bidens, that Rudy has been hammering a direct connection between Burisma and the Bidens, in public in every type of major media, for MONTHS.

2)He said he didn’t know if Trump was being truthful when Trump said no qui pro quo.

Do you believe someone who had been working with Ukraine for months was actually unaware of a connection between Burisma and the Bidens? Rudy had just been hammering that on the air in person, and many major print outlets had reported on that, for MONTHS.

Sondland had been asked to work with Rudy, didn't like it but agreed to it, and then buried his head about the many public statements by Rudy touching DIRECTLY on the work he was doing in Ukraine. I don't believe any diplomat can be that incompetent, with such an incompetent staff.

Maybe, "I didn't know!!!" works legally on some way, but anyone who believes Sondland is IMO a complete idiot.
