Disagree. People can be above the law with the most egregious of this exemplified by some of the pardons by some presidents over the years. Clinton's pardon of Marc Rich, Trump's pardon of convicted J6 rioters who assaulted police, and his pardon of Ross Ulbricht are good examples.

I agree that no one SHOULD be above the law. My lived experience tell me otherwise.

My motive is to find out who believes no one is above the law. What do you expect the "gotcha" to be?

Not "gotcha," just some kind of odd personal gratification. I dont understand it but your posts display this often.

Hmmm. Interesting. (y) Is this considered "above the law" or "not held accountable?"

I consider it "above the law" because these people were found guilty through the court process and convicted, yet presidents pardoned them and removed the penalties issued by the courts, thereby bypassing the ruling of the courts.

It depends on what we mean by law, or who defines it. For example, Donald has made it very clear that he and he alone decides what is or isn’t the law, and he’s conveniently declared that legal actions by definition include everything he does, and illegal actions include by definition anything that anybody does to oppose him. If @Josie is asking if we should obey Trump’s Law then no, I disagree, I don’t think @Josie should be detained and deported to foreign gulag with no due process for offending Donald even if he considers that to be perfectly legal on his part and completely illegal on hers.

Yeah. I ask because I think we're getting closer to mango MAGAt magnet ignoring SCOTUS and seeing no follow thru on any enforcement or consequences. SCOTUS has no means of enforcing its decisions.

So IMO there's "not being above the law" and also "not being held accountable."

Accused doesn't mean convicted. The law should be on their side then. If you're acquitted of a crime, you still aren't "above the law". You weren't convicted of breaking the law.
It doesn't matter.

As I said, the go to response is "they are above the law".

I'm not going to get into discussion on who pardoned some unworthy people because all the recent ones have some very questionable folks on the list.

Do you agree or disagree that "No one is above the law"?
I would normally disagree but in Canada our Head of State can't be charged with a crime. Nor can he be sued in civil proceedings.

I voted no one is above the law. That includes illegal migrants, presidents and politicians who sold their country out to gain personal wealth and power, judges who violate their oath, people who violate civil rights of others for starters.

Trump?

Trump has not broken the law. Only in the eyes of a TDS sufferer.
The question is: is Trump above the law?

A little detail you may have overlooked - Trump has 34 felony convictions.

He didn't break the law.

Is Trump above the law?
He is the victim of Democrat lawfare. It has been exposed along with their talking heads in the media who are the third arm of the Democrat party.
There's many people who were convicted that were not guilty. Trump did nothing wrong. There's a reason why Democrats are tanking in the polls along with the media.
The majority of the people have figured it out and that is why he was elected receiving the electoral vote along with the popular vote. What the Democrat party engaged in is actually what was illegal.

Never mind what happened in the past? What a joke.
Trump is not above the law. Too bad our justice system was weaponized against him.
