How is almond or coconut "milk" healthier than cow milk?Almond milk and coconut milk are all we use. It is much healthier than using cow milk and it tastes better.

Went to make mashed potatoes last night only to find I had only almond milk unsweetened, as a result I think my days of using dairy milk are history. I'll try it for Campbells soup next. Some of the greatest inventions come from mistakes. Try it!!

How is almond or coconut "milk" healthier than cow milk?
How much vitamin K is in almond "milk"?
How about D vitamins?
Or vitamin A?
Or B vitamins? Like B-12 or B-6?
What about vitamin E? How much of that is in almond "milk".
Healthier my ass.
Interesting, I'll have to give it a try!
I often make various Thai curries from canned curry pastes (on occasion i make a bunch of green curry from stuff i grow here as well, but i digress). It is quick and easy to make, just cook chicken mix in the curry paste, add coconut milk (a few other touches but that is the basic gist of it). One day I was making this up for dinner.. went to grab a can of coconut milk and discovered i was out. In desperation I went to the fridge and grabbed the almond milk and added that to the dish with some white cooking wine to make up for the lacking liquid from the coconut milk. It actually turned out really good, so if i am ever in that same pickle again I know what to do.
Lets talk about calories, fat and cholesterol too. almond milk has comparable amounts of nutrients to regular milk, without the fats (especially without saturated fats), carbs and calories. Almond milk also does have a rather decent content of vitamins and minerals as well - perhaps not quite as much as regular milk for some selected nutrients; however there are also some nutrients found in almond milk that is either found in higher levels or is not found in milk at all.
Then for me personally, there is the issue of not even liking cows milk, so those are nutrients that I would never get int he first place (and I also do not get the fat cholesterol and calories)
Also from the almond milk label in my fridge: 1 serving 10% of DV for A, 25% for D, and 50% for E
OK. Cow milk is far superior in all 3 of those categories.Lets talk about calories, fat and cholesterol too.
OK. Cow milk is far superior in all 3 of those categories.
For instance, a cup of almond "milk" has about 40 calories.
A cup of whole milk has more than 3 times that many calories. About 140.
Almond "milk" is far inferior in that category.
I've been using almond milk almost exclusively for my every food application since it doesn't interact with my medication, unlike cow milk. It's really good stuff.Went to make mashed potatoes last night only to find I had only almond milk unsweetened, as a result I think my days of using dairy milk are history. I'll try it for Campbells soup next. Some of the greatest inventions come from mistakes. Try it!!
I think you have fallen for the weight loss industry's ridiculous lies that less calories = better. They just think "yay, we can sell someone less food for more money if we convince them that calories are evil".No, almond milk is superior in that category.

In the real world that simply isn't the case. You need to consume calories to live.
Clearly, whole cow milk is far superior in the calorie category.
From a scientific standpoint that is simply not true.If you go over your basal metabolic rate, then you will gain weight, if you go under, you will lose weight, and of course, if you hit it, you will maintain your weight.
From a scientific standpoint that is simply not true.
We live in the real world, not the fad calorie-restricted diet world.
In the real world people don't rest all day.
Yes, many people on a calorie restricted fad diet will languish all day, and get sicker and sicker, but most people don't do that.
No. Everything in your post is wrong. You make no sense whatsoever. From a scientific standpoint my post is entirely accurate.
If, throughout your day you burn 500 calories, and have a BMR of 1,900, essentially, your BMR for that day would be 2,400 calories. However, if you eat 3,000 calories that day, you will still gain weight. This is why it is important to count calories and exercise if you want to maintain, lose, or even gain weight in a healthy way.
These are all scientific facts; you are the one who have been mislead.

You don't even know what BMR means.
You haven't posted any facts in this thread.Dude, believe whatever you want. I can only post the facts so many times.
They sell unflavored, and vanilla flavored varieties. the vanilla flavored is sweetened, but it is awesome on cereal.
